My oh my

There has been a lot going on in our household and many times, I have wanted to make a posting but I have not found the time. So today, I am going to make a marathon post to get everyone caught up.
Lets start with Halloween. We had fun. Hayden had the most because this year he really got the concept of trick or treating. He was blown away by the fact that he could go to a house and they would give him candy. Jeff said that at the first few houses, when people offered him the bowl, he would take a handle full. We also had a visit from the "exorcist baby". Ask my Dad (Leon) for the full story. He tells it best.
Over the next weekend, Jeff and I got away on a trip to Las Vegas. We stayed with our good friends, Wendi and Sean. We were gone for four days. It was the perfect trip, just enough time to start missing the kids. It was so nice to be away. We threw the schedule out the window and ate when we were hungry and slept when we were tired. Thank you to everyone who helped make our trip possible. I meant more to us than you will ever know.
We are surviving the babies first major cold. Last weekend, they all caught a cold. Everyone seems to be on the up and up now but there were some times when I did not know it we would get there. It is hard to see all my kids so miserable but they all have a very funny cry. They all sound like little seals and when ever they get up set it sounds like this; cry, bark, cough cry, bark, cough, puke.
I will be traveling again today but on a sad note. This week my grandma died. She was in poor health but it was still very sudden. She is my mom's mom and I am her name sake. Her birthday was Oct 14th and I was born on Oct 15th. I will be going to Iowa to join all my family to celebrate her life.
Well, I think thats about it. I can't believe that Thanksgiving is next week. We will be taking our first long (about 6 hours round trip) road trip with all the kids. I am sure that that adventure will result in a good posting. I wish everyone a Blessed Thanksgiving. I know that we have a lot to give thanks for.
