On the Road Again

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that everyone had their fill of turkey, family and shopping. We had a very fun and busy weekend. On Thanksgiving day, we had all of our family at our house. It was really good to be together with everyone and yes, I cooked. Because there has been a lot going on this past week, I thought it would be nice for everyone to come over for a home cooked meal. So with Jeff's help (he was the sous chef), I was able to make a turkey with all the fixin's.
The very next day, we took the babies on their very first road trip. We went to Ft Wayne, IN to visit Jeff's extended family. The trip went amazingly well. For once we did not have three screaming babies. They seemed to actually enjoy the car ride. The only major issue was when Jake threw up all over the McDonald's play land.
All the kids enjoyed playing at Aunt Sharon's house and visiting with all the new people. Jake showed everyone his new trick of sitting up on his own. When we put Hayden in the car to go home, he said, "I sad. The sun is gone. I sad when the sun is gone. I don't want to go home." But within five minutes of this statement, he was sound a sleep. I think that summed up the trip. It was good to go see everyone again and we had a great time but it seemed like the trip was over much to quickly. Although, for as much stuff as we packed, you would have thought we were staying for a week.
