Hayden: "Dad, you have to go to work!"
Jeff: "I know. I am getting ready to go."
Jen: "Hayden, why does Daddy have to go to work?"
Hayden: "So that he can go to the grocery store to buy video games."
Later that same day...
Hayden: "Mom, you have to eat your cookies."
Jen: " I will eat them after my lunch is finished."
Hayden: "Mom, you have to eat your cookies before I do."
Jen: "Yes, Hayden. I will eat them after I am finished with my pasta."
Hayden: "Mom, you have to eat your cookies before I do."
Jen: "Alright, I will take a bite."
Hayden: "Good boy, Mom. Thanks for listening to me."

When I took Hayden to Mickey D's on Sunday, he seemed to love all the interaction with kids. My favorite thing was that in the middle of climbing, he stopped and looked at me through the mesh and announced "I love you Grandma". We love our time with the babies now, and I wish that I could have spent the time with Hayden when he was a baby. Retirement is a wonderful thing!
