Happy New Year!

Well another Christmas has come and gone and now we are at the start of another new year. Lets just say that I was much more into Christmas this year than last year: last year I didn't even have the energy to decorate the tree. Although, Jeff and I did bring in the new year the same way we have for the past couple of years; sleeping (No really, I mean it. We went to bed early). I hoping that maybe next New Years we are up to partying.
Christmas was fun at our house. Hayden was really into it this year. He loved counting down the days on the calendar, he made sure that all 8 reindeer had a carrot and he even had a second special visit from Santa who realized he forgot to leave a present for Hayden. The look on Hayden's face when Santa walked into our house was priceless.
The babies seemed to have a good Christmas too. Quinn really liked chewing on all the wrapping paper. He would cry when ever Grandma tried to take it away from him. Hayden like "helping" the babies open their gifts.
The babies have begun to give us a preview of what is to come this year. They are all beginning to get up on all fours and rocking back and forth. Jake has figured out how to scoot around on the floor to get to the things he wants. Before long they are all going to be mobile! I am not ready for this. The thought sends chills up and down my spine. Jeff is feeding my fears by "teaching" the babies to crawl and even helping them stand up next to things. I love to watch them enter each new stage but what ever happened to my three tiny babies? It seems that just a few short weeks ago, we brought them home from the hospital. Where does the time go?
Anyway, I will deal with my anxiety issues later. I wish every one a Happy and Healthy New Year. We have been so blessed. I wish God's blessings on you all.

Happy New Year to you guys also Jen! I hope you get over your cold soon. I have a little story about Hayden to share. On Tues. when he was over I guess no one had time to help him upstairs so he came down with a DVD and asked me to let him watch it. I recently got a DVD player that connects to my new LCD flat screen TV with an HDMI cable so I had to cycle through the input source button to choose HDMI input. He saw the letters "HDMI" on the screen and said "Look! Hayden Mitchell!" I laughed and said yup, Hayden that is close to your initials.
I'll see you Friday night and will check out the latest with the babies creeping around.
