Don't take Me Downtown.

Last night we loaded the car and drove to Grandma Visser's house to drop of Hayden. He is going to spend the night and play there while I work today.
Anyway, when we were about half way there, Hayden asked if we are there yet? I said, "No. We have to get on the highway and that will take us to Grandma's." Hayden then said, "NO! That will take me downtown."
I was very confused by this statement but I am often confused by stuff that Hayden says. Then I look over at Jeff and he is grinning away. Jeff then says, "You know what that is from, don't you? The Incredibles."
The Incredibles has been Hayden's movie of choice lately. He call it the "superhero movie." The scene that he is quoting, for those who don't know that movie, is towards the end when they return back to the city to fight the robot and Bob aka Mr Incredible asks how to get to the financial district and Helen, his wife, says to take Tractor street and Bob responds by saying, "No that will take me downtown."

great story Jen! Hayden and I are at Macs right now and he is playing high up in the robot. Suddenly he got very quiet and he decided to hide on me I guess. Some of those areas of the tunnels are hard to see through and a kid can definately hide from you if they want. Then he came down and said to me "I want my mommy" so I guess that is why he got quiet. He ate a sausage & egg biscuit but discared most of the biscuit.

Hayden is my low-carb kid. he has never been one who really likes bread but I guess he makes up for that with all the pasta he eats.

Thanks Dad! That was cool. I am sure that he had a great time. It is not often that he get to be the center of someone's attention.
I am glad that Hayden has now begun his stardom on YouTube as well as Cole :)
