I have not posted in a while because Jeff and I have been going through want can only be described as hell. Here is a short list of what the last 10 days have entailed; 911 call, ER visit, strider, croup, doctor call, doctor visit, RSV, ear infections, coughing, green slimy snot, vomiting, antibiotics, no sleep, crying, crying and yet more crying. But I think that I can safely say we seem to be coming out of this funk.
Anyway, here is what I really wanted this post to be about. Since today seemed to be the best day that we have had in about a week, (largely thanks to my sister coming over and letting me take a much needed nap) I decided to pick Hayden up early from school and make our weekly pilgrimage to Costco. The babies were pleasantly surprised to know that there is a world out side of the house. Their heads kept turning from side to side as there were new thing to looks at. As we were checking out, Hayden was playing a game with Quinn where when Quinn would touch him, he would fall down. On one of his "fake" falls, a little girl (about the same age as Hayden) came over to him and asked if he was ok and then helped him help. They started talking and Hayden took her hand and said, "Come here I want to show you something. This is Jakey, and Baby Quinn. And here look at this, this is Baby Claire." The little girl looked with great interest at each baby and made the observation, "One baby girl with all the boys." Hayden replayed, "Yes I have two brothers and one sister. Lets go play." This ended the conversation and started the running which as the mean mom I am, put a stop too. Thankfully, the little girl's Dad scolded her for running around too.
