A Triple Blessed Day

One year ago today at this time (10am on a Tuesday), I was in the hospital on the labor and delivery unit being prepped for surgery. I don't remember feeling especially anxious or nervous, just very peaceful and calm and ready for the pregnancy part of triplets to be over. I was 34 weeks, 3 days along and bigger than I ever thought I could grow. I seriously thought that the skin on my belly was going to rip open any second. I wanted three things to happen.
1. I couldn't wait for them to place my urinary catheter because I was so sick of peeing all the time.
2. I was more than ready for my epidural to make all the pain and presser go away.
3. More than anything else, I wanted to hear the cries of three healthy and strong little babies. I knew in my heart that if they came out screaming then everything would be alright.
At 12:13pm, I got my wish and then again at 12:14pm and again at 12:15pm. Three healthy, beautiful babies all screaming their heads off. Thank you, Lord! He heard every prayer that we flooded Heaven with and answered them all! Then I slept. I remember nothing more until the recovery room.
