Interpreter Services Needed, Apply Within

We have a had a language explosion over here. The babies seem to be talking a mile an minute. There is even got some phrases being thrown around.

Some of Claire's favorite phrases; What's That? Where Hayain? I Sorry. Where Kin? Here ya go. Good Bye. Oh No! Uh Oh

Quinn has learned a couple phases too; Oh no. Don't Know. The Moo The Moo. Good Bye. Doggy Woof Woof.

And then there is Jacob. Here is what he is saying;

Mama, Mama? Ashlk dkjhe shoul bbloosdl
Mama, Mama? Boo odkf hah shahss shyshf
Mama, Mama? Gofh dufh Hah shshee Ah Ah Ah
Mama, Mama? No! No! No!

Any ideas as to what he is saying?

I am seriously looking into getting a baby interpreter over here. I am good but I am not that good because I have no idea what he is saying, except of the last phrase. I get that one loud and clear.

That's about right...I swore my youngest's first language was not English:-)

He's saying, "Mom! Meatloaf!"
(and if you've seen "Wedding Crashers," this is funny. If not...well, not so much.)

I've only had 1 cup of coffee this morning...forgive me...

heehee...baby language is funny. especially the hard to interpret stuff. unless of course you need to know what they are saying. then it is just frustrating.

Is your head exploding from trying to understand it all? :)

Just nod and hand him a cookie. Eventually, the others will translate for you.

ok, if you get one, can you ask whay "ge gee geee" means. i think it means, i'm ticked off and you are annoying me, but i'm not sure!

He's saying, "mama I can talk now! Quit putting me in the dinosaur shirt -- it's sooo last year, and no more of that mushy stuff for breakfast. I'll take two eggs overeasy"

It always the ones that are hard to understand early on that become the most articulate later. It seriously worke dthat way with mine. Make a note of this and see if it works out in a couple years : )

Oh! Our babies know the same language! I'm still trying to figure out what Doma is. Delia uses that one a lot. heh.

Donovan speaks that same language. Sorry I can't interpret it.

Baby's definitely have a language all their own. What's so funny is when they repeat the EXACT SAME thing...that's when you know they MEANT to say it.

My neice is babbling all over the place...and I just love that!

I could be wrong but I think he is telling you NO.

oh, i couldn't tell you. but if you find a good interpreter, please send them this way when you're done!!!

Hmmm. Until he can communicate better, I would assume that he is saying, "Mom, put me down for a nap immediately!" :)

Baby language! How fun! Umm... can the other babies understand what he is saying? I used to babysit this two siblings and I could never understand the younger one, but the older one always did!

heh. good times.

Well, if you really phonetically typed those phrases out, the "shshee" could probably be "sissy". Do you ever call Claire "Sissy" as in sister?

the rest? dunno. anyone's best guess.

Then, they look at you like "hello? english here?! don't you hear me? idiot.... gosh."

I have the same problem sometimes...but soon enough, I learn their language and then I can't understand why no one else can understand them.

My little twins are just now starting to talk and I feel bad when they get so frustrated when I can't understand a darn thing they're saying. Funny thing is that my big twins can understand everything the little ones say so I'm often saying, "Bella, can you translate?" and she'll roll her eyes and then tell me what the little one has said. Geez, makes me feel so lame sometimes!

Too funny! When you find a baby interpreter, you let me know because I am totally lost with my little babbler.

Well, when you find that interpreter send them on over to my house when you're done with them.

We're actually taking the girls to an early intervention appointment tomorrow, so maybe I'll be able to decipher some of that babble when I get back. :P

LOVE IT. I don't have kids of my own (someday!), but whenever I run into a child who CLEARLY is trying to communicate and just FAILING MISERABLY, I always feel guilty. Good luck!

I love when they have a language explosion. So much fun to hear their little voices.

He's telling you the answer to the universe.

I loved it when my kids hit the garbly chatter stage where they talked earnestly to me but I had no idea what they were saying.

Tonight my little one was grunting and pointing and I turned to my husband and said "He wants more ketchup." My husband was impressed with my baby interpreter skills. Although I'm sure they would be useless at your house. Seems all babies speak their own language that usually only mothers understand.
