When I was 17, I used to think, that I would never get into college, get married or be an adult.

When I was 22, I used to think that I would never have kids.

When I was 25, I used to think that I could not wait for my baby to crawl, walk and talk.

When I was 27, I used to think that I could only handle one child at a time.

Now that I am almost 30, I think that life is going way to fast, it needs to slow down.
I regret that I wished it way, always looking onto the next stage in life, the next big thing. I think I need to take time to slow down and enjoy the here and now. Because before I know it, another 20 years will have come and gone.

I agree with you. It's time to slow down and enjoy life!
Stopping by from MamaKat!
Couldn't agree more. It is sad that we spend so much of our childhoods trying to grow up so fast and so much of our adulthood trying to slow the time back down.
Great minds think alike, I do believe.
My post today is all about slowing down.
I can't believe I'm that much older than you. No fair. (I'll be 36 this year. Ahhh!)
Have a great day, Jen. Let's sit down and enjoy these babies of ours while we still can...
Oh gosh yes, we have to enjoy every single minute. How time flies.
It's like that Five for Fighting song, 100 years.
And I agree.
So true!! Great post:-)
You are so right. We are always looking forward to what comes next and not enjoying what is happening now!
I find myself wishing my life away sometimes too!!! thank you for the reminder that i need to slow down :)
Oh yea now that I am an adult life definetly needs to slow down ALOT!
i think that is the bane of our existence...we spend our younger years trying to hurry things along + our older years trying to slow it all down.
So true...time flies. I think we all need to try & enjoy it!!
Great post! It seems we're always in such a hurry for tomorrow. I have to remind myself all the time to enjoy these days, because I will miss them when they've past.
Oh, this makes me so sad. I have been regretfully looking back on a lopt of my wishes lately, too. I wish I had a time machine so I could go back sometimes.
You just said a mouthful. How many times growing up did you wish to be older? Millions...it was always like the pot at the end of the rainbow. If only I were (insert age) then I could (insert activity).
~sigh~ And now I wonder where the years went.
yes I agree - time is going too fast these days!
My 12 year old keeps wishing her child hood away. Whenever I tell her to take it easy and enjoy it, she rolls her eyes. Someday she'll see.
Great post. I turned 30 today and that's exactly how I feel...life needs to slow down!
Amen. It goes way too fast. I have now been out of college for 10years. It is crazy.
Just found you through SITS! Love your blog!! I'll definitely be back.
Also - read your post on Twittering. I'm going to go follow you now. I am new to it so I really have no idea what it is all about!!
Just wait till you're forty, girly! lol! Stellar post! Loved it!
wow! great post! is that not the truth...always waiting for whats next & forgetting to enjoy the present moment!
What a wonderful post and great reminder to enjoy each day! It absolutely does fly by and while each new day brings new joys, I rather miss the old ones.
What a wonderful reminder to stop and slow down. It all happens fast enough anyways. Thanks!
life is over too fast to miss the present looking for the future. Enjoy the kids while you can, they'll be grown and gone next time you blink.
Soooo....true. We wish things away and then long for those days!
I think that's why I'm really starting to enjoy my 30's, all the "Is this EVER going to happen?" seems to be fading in the distance. Now's the time to really ENJOY life. :)
It's so true. My thing is I often say "I'll be happy when...." and I don't want to be like that!
Absolutly! I cant believe how fast time flies, especially after you have children. There are days that I look at my kids and just wonder where time went, how did they get so big?!
I hear ya! Wait until you are in your 30's and wishing you were 20 again. I wonder where my life went!
You're Awesome. That was fun to read.
I find myself in the same boat, just wishing things would slow down! Time goes by too fast with your kids.
What a precious photo of you and all of your little ones. So cute! :)
I try to never wish any time away, but it happens doesn't it!
Great job on the writing assignment!
Mama, I love the way you think! I swear you are in my head. Thanks from FranticMommy :)
The older I get, the faster time seems to go by--and I don't like it!!!
Funny how things change huh?
Sometimes I still try to wish things away. Like I wish for the day that all the kids are potty trained and buckle themselves in the car. I have to catch myself and constantly remind myself to just enjoy the moment.
