This Drives Me Crazy and Other Random Thoughts

It is time once again for me to let the Blog Farts fly. So here we go well, I clear my mind and stink up the blogoshpere.

******

I have been thinking about changing my url. I want to be become a big girl blog with a dot com address. I have been thinking about this for a very long time. I have talked to a lot of people about it and they say that it is no big deal. It is a smooth transitions that most people don't even notice but I am scared. I don't want to loose all my readers and friends. If I do switch and if things go wrong, will you all promise to come and find me?

******

This

and this

drives me absolutely nuts.
I mean, is it really hard to see that they are upside down?
Sometimes, I have been known to switch them.
Come one people, put them away the right way.

******

Claire has really been into playing in her little kitchen. She is always telling me that she is making dinner. I keep wondering when I will be able to really let her make dinner. Because as much I like to cook, I would like to turn the reins over to her on some days.

******

We have been having some early morning adventures, like 5AM early, lately. Jake has taken to getting up this early and he is now tall enough to turn on all the light switches through out the house. So when I get up and after I get blinded by all the light, I take him back to bed. I tell him it is still night night time. Does he listen and go back to sleep?
No. That would be to easy. What he does do is turn the lights on in his room which is also Quinn and Claire's room and wake them up. So I end up with all three of them awake before 6AM. It is not good.
Oh and he has alos taken to stripping, including his diaper and hiding them. I still have not found a couple.

******

Speaking of Jake, he really loves the pumpkins that we carved. He goes outside and he will sit by them and talk to them and he takes them for a walk. Well on one of these walks, he thought it would be a good idea to throw one down the street. And we live on the top of a hill. So there was one of our pumpkins rolling down the street with me chasing after it. It was awesome. But don't worry, the pumpkin is safe. I got to it before it was harmed.

******

This is my poor sweet Hayden. He is sick with the flu for the very first time.
I am doing everything possible to make him feel better.
But seeing him like this really makes me want my mom.
I remember being little and being sick with the flu
and there was nothing like just being with my Mommy.
There was just something about being in her arms that made me
feel all better.
I want my Mommy.

Oh poor dear Hayden, get better soon! I too have wanted a dot com address, but haven't done it. Not sure if it would change anything in my world, so haven't gone and done it. What do you think?

What's the advantage to having your own dot com? Just wondering...

Having the flu sucks. Having a kid with the flu sucks even worse. You just feel so darn bad for them. My kids are on the upswing, while I am only on Day 2. Thank God for nighttime flu medicine!

that's a lot of stuff...ok, you totally can do the url thing! i just did the leap for my photgraphy business and it's not that bad. even did my own design of web page. wasn't bad. just do it!

hayden and brooke are just a little too much alike! she has been down with fever for 4 days from the h1n1 shot...asthmatic issue i guess.

Oh that stinks about the flu.

My Mommy was so not the warm fuzzy type... I'd dread days that I had to stay home sick... she would act pissed and put out to have me around...I'd rather go to school sick than stay home.

And I bet there's no one he wants more than his mommy!

So sorry about the early mornings. Tristan used to be an early bird like that, too. Yuck.

the pumpkin rolling down the street is hilarious! Hope your little one is well enough to go bashing on doors!

I'm so horrible, but I'm looking forward to your funny post concerning said hidden diapers.

I know, I know. I'm a sick puppy.

Hugs to little Hayden!! And Mama. The worst. I LOVE the thought of Jake chatting up the pumpkins. Oh so sweet.

Poor Hayden. There is NOTHING fun about the flu. I hope he's feeling better soon. And my kids love love love their play kitchen. It's by far their favorite toy.

Delia is really into stripping this week too. We went into her room twice last night where she was sleeping and holding on to her PJs that she had stripped off. ha!

I hope Hayden feels better soon!!!

Would it be weird to say that if I couldn't find you in blogland that I would just hop on a plane and find you in person?

Because that is the level of my dedication to you! :)

So sorry Hayden is sick. It looks like you are doing an awesome job taking care of him.
So sorry about the early risers. That is the worst. Any child up before 6:00 AM definitely gets sent back to bed in our house. But then they are up at 6:10 and then I have to be up too :(
Someday they can just get up and play on their own while we still sleep.. ahh someday.

We've had a few of those mornings around here, too. Not fun.

Those ketchup bottles would drive me crazy. I would feel absolutely compelled to turn them over.

Poor Hayden! Hope he is up and running @ full steam soon! They always look so sad when they are all wiped out with flushed cheaks and just not their normal selves!!!

I found your blog through a mutual "blog friend", and I'm in love! The title of your blog is hilarious; and apparently, very appropriate too!

I think it's hilarious that you are so upset by the upside-down ketchup bottles. I would be too! I am so (OCD?) overly-organized that I have to rearrange all the baby's toys just so before going to bed... or it drives me nuts!

Hope you don't mind if I join and follow along (I promise I'll find you even if you move).

Poor little pumpkin. But just think, all he wants is to be held by HIS Mommy and that makes him feel so much better!!

Michelle said...

Feel better Hayden!

Hayden looks so miserable. You're right that they just want mommy. And when they're in college, they still do.

Go for the dot com. I believe you can redirect your feed to the new url, or so I hear.

Oh, poor little man. I hope he feels better soon!

Of course I'll follow you! In my world you're the pioneer of blogging :) dot com it up!

You are going to need to take that pic down. It is going to send me over the edge.
Oh, and 5 am? WHAT? Tape that boy to the bed!!

I have no clue how to get my own dot com. I'd probably screw something up..

I hope Hayden feels better. Poor guy.

Poor Hayden, get well soon!

Poor little man.....*sigh*

I'm telling you. Go through Blogger Dashboard and your dot com move will be completely effortless. I promise.

My toddler has started waking around 5-ish too. Yet the baby sleeps until 8 or so. Completely not fair.

Julie said...

I had to find you from your Twitter page, because it wouldn't work from my dashboard. But I still found you. :) I'm back in blogland by the way!

Connie said...

I still can't get the picture out of my head of you chasing pumpkins down the street.

I'm scared to change my url for the same reasons. But I've heard that even if people put in your old address, it still brings them to your new one. I don't get that, but I hope it's true!

Poor sick guy! GET WELL!

(and Happy Halloween!)

I went to check out your blog today and it wouldn't connect! I thought oh, no how will I find her? I don't know how but it worked the next time!

Hope Hayden feels better with mom's hugs and tlc!

Glad I'm not alone. I had to take my baby to the hospital yesterday, and I couldn't get through to my mom all day. When I finally got baby home and into bed still with her 101 degree fever, I felt so helpless. And I did wish for my Mom. I can admit now that I have company. :-)

I hope he's feeling a lot better. Sending hugs and kisses his way.

Oh and the upside down bottles annoy the crap out of me too.

Michelle said...

That upside down ketchup would have bugged me too.

I will hunt you down if you go dot com!

Helene said...

Awww, poor Hayden! I hope he's feeling better now!

My husband wants me to move my blog to my own domain but I'm too afraid it'll screw things up!! I have no clue about this stuff but he does (is it sad that I don't trust him not to mess it up, though?? It could be his secret plot to destroy my blog! haha)

Hope Hayden is on the mend soon. I have also been thinking about going it alone, in terms of my blog. And I am scared of the change too. BTW, do you back up your blog, because I was reading about blogspot sometimes losing blogs etc and I am so worried about losing all my info etc

As for the ketchup bottles, I'll tell you like I tell my mother, rocket scientists do not work in grocery stores or fast food places. :)

What a sweet collection of posts.

There really is nothing like being sick when you are a child. I always tell this to my daughter because once you grow up, it is just not the same.
