Smile Pretty

She was playing so nicely in the pretend garden.
Picking the flowers and then planting them again.

She was so cute sharing the flowers with me and her brothers.
I just had to take a picture of her and her flowers.

I asked if I could take her picture.
"Come here and smile pretty," I said.

And she totally did.
Or at least, she tried.

Not really the smile that I had in mind.
But that will do.

Lol! Alex has started to have a smile for pictures, but it looked more like a grimace.. so I told her, show your teeth when you smile.

So now anytime she shows her teeth, she says "this is a smile"...yeah we are working on that one still

That will do. Yes indeed. :)

I will have to post some of the fails from our family Christmas photo session this year. I think Maggie was making monster faces in some of them!

LOL! Wait until she is a teen and will give you that perfect smile until right before the click of the shutter and her face has gone to goofyvill!

Do you realize that every time you happen to see a picture on my blog of one of my kids smiling, that is was probably the 20th take of that particular picture? My kids don't know how to smile on command. They squint their eyes up and do the courtesy smile.

See, that's where photoshop comes in. Just paste a smile on her face!

I can always take photos of M if she doesn't know I am taking them. As soon as she figures out someone is taking her picture, she will do her best to make it impossible for her picture to be taken.

Happy WW to you!

HAHAHAH!! My son does the same thing and makes the weirdest face when you ask him to smile. But they are too cute, weird smiles and all.

My girls start cheesing the second they see the camera. My son acts like a celebrity. He either blocks the camera or turns his head! haha.

This picture is totally classic.

I try NOT to tell my kids to smile. I get the most horrific faces if I do!

That's the perfect smile. Just perfect.

My daughter's "cheese" smile so funny. She does the same squinching up her face thing and looks like she's more in pain than anything. But catching her in a natural smile is almost impossible. Sigh.

That is so cute!

I also loved the post about reading to your kids. I could certainly relate! When mine were little they were not allowed to sit on my lap when I read because the same thing would happen! Certainly brought back some memories!:)
