I am of course thankful for my family, my husband, my kids, my health, my job, my house, a little money in the bank and my list of 'easy' thankfulness could go on and on. But with this list, I had to think about it. Look a little deeper. These are the little things that make life, let say more enjoyable for me.
I am thankful for my Kitchen Shears. When it comes to cutting up food for the three, sometimes four, hungry kids nothing does it faster than using a pair of scissors. It is the best way I know to cut up pizza, pancakes, spaghetti, sandwiches and the list goes on and on. When I pack the diaper bag to go out, I make sure to add my scissors.I am thankful for medications, most importantly Motrin, Tylenol and Benedryl. These all ease the suffering of my sick children and help them and me get some much needed rest.

I am thankful for my gadgets. I feel so thankful just to be able to have these things. I love my iPod touch and my Nikon Coolpix Camera. I use them so often to keep in touch with the blogging world, that I hold so dear, and to capture images and video for the blog. Blogging would not be as fun with out them.
And lets not forget to mention the music and iTunes and the Wifi and pictures. All of it right at my finger tips. I just love it.
I am thankful for my Ocheyedan High School Reunion cookbook. My Grandma gave this to me as a wedding present. It reminds me of her, her house, her cooking, her love. I miss her so and this helps keep her close.
I am thankful for chocolates. More specifically, a holiday special that is only at Costco for a couple months. I look forward to these all year. These little truffles cups just make me happy. I can have one (or two) and be transported to a blissful place for just a few seconds. Its heaven in a chocolate.Well, that is it, not really but its a start. In thinking about this post I came across many things in my daily life for which I am thankful. Things that I usually take for granted but when I thought about it wouldn't want to be without. It was kind of eye opening. So I ask you, what are some little things in life that you are thankful for?

I agree, it's the little things in life that make me happy. Blessings to you and yours this Thanksgiving.
It's not a fancy iphone, but I am SO Thankful for my cell phone... and texting... without which Mr. B and I would not have the relationship we do.
I'm also thankful for my fridge. I like my milk cold and it does SUCH a good job of that.
What a beautiful list!
And, this sounds cheesy, but I am thankful for a really great husband. He isn't perfect, but after talking to a few friends, I realize he's better than a lot of what's out there. Sounds like you have one of the good ones too.
Also, I am thankful that I have no debt (except our mortgage). I can sleep at night and know that we won't sink tomorrow. I can't imagine not being able to get restful sleep because I bought too many shoes or a big SUV. That would be really sad.
Thanks for asking.
I am thankful for so many things, like you.
I am especially thankful for being able to be content in my life.
And for scrapbooking. And coffee. And a good book. And friends. And blogging.
See, I am thankful for so much.
Looks like both Kat and I are trying out your turkey recipe. My family is so excited...I hope it turns out as well as yours!

it is the little things, combined with the big things, that give you so many reasons to be thankful! for me? today it is a pot of coffee, a good book and my camera.
You have an iPod Touch? I just learned of these...tell me more about it! I just put one on my wish list for Christmas.

For the combination of peanut butter and chocolate.
For my favorite tv shows like Top Chef and Celeb. Rehab!!
Hmmmm... little things I am thankful for...
Ice cold Coca-Cola... I don't think I could function through the day without it.
My computer... I really don't think I have to elaborate on this one, LOL!
The dishwasher... seriously. I think I'd go mad if I had to hand wash every. single. pot and pan.
My list isnt as good as yours...
I know wish for a Costco to be near me (which will never happen, but oh well) so that I can partake of these truffle cups. Because truffles are my most favorite form of chocolate in the wide world.
One day you and I will drink wine...eat truffles and chocolate cake...and we will be beyond thankful. Amen.
I am thankful for Dr. Pepper, which never fails to put a smile on my face. I am thankful for Prescriptives Traceless makeup that hides the dark circles under my eyes. I am thankful for my Old Navy Sweetheart jeans which (heavenly light shining down on them) do NOT gap at the waist.
Yes, there is much to be thankful for.
Love my kitchen scissors also... I didn't think anyone else found them useful!!
HAPPY TUESDAY!
- Jennifer
I had three thanks givings already. Now I think I will join you Americans for another, just because I am so thankful. Actually it is more just because I am thankful for turkey dinners.
Great list of some really wonderful things to be thankful for!
ps I am giving you an Honesty Award :)
I am thankful for friends who will give you a place to crash when the military decides that you have overstayed your welcome in military temp lodging when you are waiting on a contract for a rental to go though. Not that I am trying to be specific or anything.
Secret confession: I would eat approx. 1/2 of that box of truffles and then spend the rest of the afternoon sick on the couch.
I have problems! Seriously. I'm a food-aholic. The only way I could eat one or two was if I was in a room full of very thin women that I wanted to impress. Then I'd only eat one...and think about the truffles while talking to people...and keep glancing at the truffles to make sure they were still there. I'm sad. :(
That is a great list.
I am thankful for warm winter gloves and wooly socks. I am from Canada and in the winter those are great to have.
I discovered kitchen shears when my girls were little. They made my life so much easier. :)
Oh, I am feeling you on the scissors thing- except we use a pizza cutter. With 4 kids, it's the only way!
