A Wagon Ride

There is a lot of sadness going around in the blogosphere lately (here and here). There are a lot of mommies out their who's hearts are breaking. For the past week, I have stumbled across many stories that brings me to tears.

I feel so helpless. I go and leave comments for these people and I say prayers for them but there has to be something more. I was really struggling with this, what could I do? Well, I have found my answer courtesy of two lovely bloggers, Em and Lee.

One of the stories that I have stumbled upon is that of little Tuesday. She passed away this week. On Saturday, her family is having a celebration of her life with a wagon ride parade in their home town. Her favorite thing was a 'wagie ride.'

Now I know that we all can't get on a plane and go to their town but we can join in, in a virtual way.

This Saturday, take a minute and have a 'wagon ride' with your family. Now you don't have to actually get into a wagon but take the time to stop the daily business of life and just spend time together. Something that will bring a smile to everyone's face and put laughter in your life.

While you are doing this, take some pictures and put a post together for Monday and link it up at Life, Liberty and the Pursuit... It is going to be the blog version of a wagon ride parade to support this family and others. For more informations, you can also go see Lee at mom without blogs.

One thing that has been reaffirmed from this tragedy is that life is really too short. The dishes, laundry and toilet bowl mildew will always still be there and these thing can wait.

We only have the ones we so dearly love for such a short time. Life can take them away in an blink of an eye.

That is why we should cherish each and every moment and just enjoy the small stuff, like pudding covered babies.
