But there is one small problem. There are three of them and I only have one lap.
Usually whenever I sit down to read a book the fight is on for who gets to sit in the middle of my lap. They push and shove and yell and scream until I can't take it any more and reading time is over. We rarely ever finish a book.
But sometimes all the stars a line and magic happens. They all can sit still and share my lap and we get to read a book together.
It is just so cool that I had to document this and share it for this weeks version of Blogversations with Summer.

I wish my girls would share my lap, even for just a second. Anya screems and throws a fit if Ziva gets anywhere close. Yup, Anya is the same child who kicked her sister down to the bottom of my uterus and freaked out my ultrasound tech which necessitated me going to the hospital for a second ultrasound/opinion. Ziva was fine... Anya's a bully... and so it still stands today. lol

That's too precious! I thought I had it hard with an 8 year old and 10 month old fighting over my lap, I will never complain about that again :)
Cute! I wish mine were smaller to snuggle up with like that... M still wants to sit in my lap some times, but at 6 yrs old, she's getting a bit big for that!

That is impressive. It has been so long since we have made it through a whole book without someone being hysterical over someone sitting in their spot.

Oh wow - but yes, we also have the same here. My 4 year old still thinks it is her place in the middle of my lap though.
