They All Fall Down

I am not what you would all a very graceful person. In fact I am quite the opposite. I stumble and fall all.the.time. If there is even the tiniest of bumps or cracks in the floor, I will trip over it and fall. And because of this I have sprained my ankle at least six times, two of which I wrote posts about here and here.

Jeff on the other hand in very coordinated and graceful. He like to say that he has ninja like abilities.

Since we are both on opposite end of the spectrum, I was hoping that our children would be some where in the middle. But alas, that has not happened.

They are all clumsy little fools, Quinn and Jake being the worst. You look at those two funny and they will fall. Their knees have been scraped up so many times that I don't how many layers of skin are left. The bruises that these children sport, well it looks like they have been through battle.

And to be honest, I have surprised that no one has had a broken bone, had stitches, or needed a trip to the emergency room. Hayden has had a concussion or two but that has been the worst of it (Thank, God).

It just breaks my heart to see them fall and stumble all the time.

Cruse my clumsy genes, curse them!

I am holding out hope that they will grow out of it and by the time they are adolescents, they will have ninja like abilities like their Dad. But something is telling me that it is not going to happen and its only going to get worse before it gets better.

Oops, I gotta go. Someone just fell down. Again.

My mom used to say I was graceful as an elephant...I too have sprained my ankles many times.

The kids will gain those mad Ninja skills...just wait and see!

what a sad, cute little picture.

My pediatrician is always quick to point out that, that is why toddler's heads are so darn thick - they're built to bruise, even if it hurts our hearts.

And my Hubs calls me Princess Grace - yeah, sarcasm is our bond :-)

Katie is my clumsy one. She can fall up stairs. And is constantly tripping over her feet. Maybe it's because she wears a size 10 :-)

I can completely relate to the clumsiness. Unfortunately, mine has been passed down to my children as well. At least once a day, someone has ended up on the ground.

Well it sounds like we are all clumsy followers. My dad could not finish his sentence warning me not to....fall....My knees have all had their share of stitches and I hate wearing shorts because of all the markings. I thought women were supposed to be graceful....oh well!

That's what kids do. They fall.

I think my son falls just to get a band aid....he doesn't actually want it ON him, he just wants to play with it!

I have clumsy kids too. The pediatrition always remarks that he worries more about the toddlers without skinned knees then the ones with them.

I am clumsy and not that athletic and neither is my son. Oh well at least he enjoys playing!

Awwww, but just look at him...he's so sweet. Even if he is nursing a couple owies on his knees!

Cole is my clumsy kid. If there's a way to trip, he'll be the one. In fact, he just simply trips over his own feet sometimes. He's had staples in his head twice, he's had to go to the ER once for a huge goose egg on his forehead, he's had more skinned knees and bruises than I like to think of.

Here from Mama Kat's...clumsiness comes in many forms. I am forever clumsy with sharp cutting implements and always end up cutting myself, along with the tomato or the coupons or the hair...etc. Hang in there!

I am super clumsy, but my son seems to be taking after my cat like husband. Thank goodness.

Here I was excited for next year when I have 3 18 months olds that can walk but you just reminded me of how awful walking is.

OH BY THE WAY....YOU ARE THE WINNER OF THE EARRINGS SO PLEASE STOP BY.

It's okay, I am a total klutz as well. I constantly run into things. Oh, and I still spill my beverages. It's a little embarrassing that I spill more than my kids..

you are too much! there's always someone crying here...if there isn't, there's someone who just stopped or someone starting up!

Awwww...that's a shame. Maybe their shoes are too big?

And then you little Claire just running circles around them with their toys...the ninja that she is.

I feel your pain. I somehow fell into a pool yesterday and ended up with my leg tangled in between the ladder and the wall. It was oh-so-graceful. :)

I am super clumsy too. I just recently broke my toe at 7.5 months preggo in the 107* heat of summer. Oh and I was just getting up to pee in the night when I broke it. Not even a good story, just a clutz!

Clumsy kids are so cute, with there booboo's! Hoping no emergency room nightmares for you anytime soon!

Broken bones suck...I do have a clumsy one. I have twins but I swear the boo boos are like 20 to 1 in ratio between the 2. His latest was stepping off a dock into the water, backwards! All I could do was laugh...earlier in the day he dropped all of our towels in the water before we even got on the boat!

I'm coordinated, but have a terrible fear of heights which makes me very unbalanced in high places.
When we went camping recently there were these fallen logs that were a good 5 1/2 feet off the ground and my kids were just running back and forth on them as if they were on the earth itself. I hope they don't grow out of that, but I hope yours do. May a scraped knee be the worst of it.

I'm still waiting to grow out of it, too! It usually happens when you turn 40. Or so I've been told :)
