Huh? Invincible SuperMom

All I am saying is that once you become a mom you should get some kind of immunity from doing stupid things like falling down the stairs while carrying two babies and spraining your ankle.
sheesh *sigh* the drama.
Don't worry the 2 babies are just fine, of course.

OUCH! Hope you're back to full speed soon. And isn't it amazing to what lengths we'll go to protect those babies? :-)

Ow!!!! I'm sorry! I did that once too, only bruises though. Thank goodness. My children would have smelled weakness with a sprained ankle and used it against me to turn their bathroom into a public pool.

Total side note- I love the chair your foot is resting on. So cute!!

I once fell down about 4 stairs while carrying my then 4-month old!

Glad to hear the babes are ok! Hope you're back on your feet soon!

For Karen, there's a minor story behind the chair. You see, one day, I got a call from my father-in-law saying Jen's mom had some free tickets to a Detroit Tigers game (baseball, for those of you that don't know.) So I went to the game along with him and Jen's brother and his friend and we had a grand time. While we were there, however, Jen went shopping with her mother and we ended up with not one, but two of the pictured chairs.

My free tickets had become the most expensive baseball game ever.

And we never get a chance to sit in them. The pictured chair generally holds my laptop bag.

Oh no, that must really suck. I've slipped down the stairs (stupid carpet) but never with the baby (yet). Although my husband slipped on ice with the baby (somehow never fell though).

Ouchie!!! I hope you recover quickly!!
Jeff, I see nothing wrong with your baseball story?! It seems fair to me!- right Jen?!

Jeff, you have me giggling!

Jen, Ouch! I did something similar. I was carrying my then newborn twins when I tripped on my pants (yes, I'm clumsy) and to save myself from falling with the babies I stuck my foot out and ended up putting it down sideways, hairline fracture right below my pinkie toe. Man that hurt, so you have my complete and utter sympathy!!

So Sorry to hear of your injury. I hope it heals fast and I can't imagine your fear as you fell with the babies. Oh the horror! I'm thankful things aren't worse but hate that you are in that boot! UGH!

:( Well at least you have an excuse not to take care of them now ;) ok, so that would never work, but it was a thought.

You gotta be kidding. Talk about adding insult to injury. Don't we get our hair (and other body parts) pulled and pushed enough as it is?!
Well, hope this means some extra blogtime for ya!

Good god. Leg in a brace, heart in your mouth. That must have been horrendous. I fell down some steps with my baby girl in my arms once and mummy instinct kicked in and I landed with her safely bench pressed over my head and me having taken the whole weight on my knees! I seriously didn't know I had the strength.

That SO sucks. Are you still able to work, or do you have to take time off? I don't think I'd be able to hobble around my ICU with a boot on; there are some nights I walk 10 miles in that unit.

Hope you heal fast!

(And good mommy save with the babies...it could always be worse, right?)

Auwch! I also feel down the stairs while carrying a newborn girl. No damage to baby, mommy bruised blue from hip to shoulder. BTW - I have stopped carrying more than one baby at a time.

Did you scare the kids or did they just laugh?

Ouch, I feel for ya! Cute toes though. LIke the color. :o)

Oh no! Do they give fun pain meds for a sprain or do you have to actually break something??

Falling down the stairs while I'm holding my kids is one of my greatest fears. I'm so glad you are all okay.
