Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

I have to admit something, I really like the fact that I have a little girl. When I first got pregnant with the triplets, I wanted to have all boys. I didn't want any girls, just boys. I thought that it would just be easier. We had Hayden first so our house was all boy. I was used to a boy. I didn't know how to do girls.
Well, I must say I love the fact that I have a girl. Don't get me wrong I adore all my boys but there is just something about a girl.
Boys and girls are just so different. She is such a little mother, she likes to help pick up toys, and she adores her Daddy. And please don't get me started on the clothes. I never knew what cute things there are out there for little girls. Little boy clothes are cute but they don't hold a candle to the little girl clothes. Its like I entered a whole new club.
The reason that I am totally loving her today is that her hair is finally long enough, to "play" with. I can put her hair in 'pony-tails', cute little barrettes, and darling head bands.

'Pig-tails' was today's feature.

She is just so darned cute, I can't stand it.

So cute! Ha, Ha....before you know it she'll be coming home with a tattoo and nose ring like someone else I know....Ha! Ha! Who, by the way is sooooooo benefiting from being the last one! The parents were surprised with the new piercing (mainly because of her needle phobia) but fine with it. I think my dad said very nonchalantly "You have something sparkly stuck (or sticking out of) on your nose?" I wish I was the last child :-)

Aww, she looks sooo cute! I love the girls clothes, they are sooo cute. Luckily I have several friends with girls, so they get spoiled from me..

Awww! :)

I wish I had started doing things like this to my girls' hair when they were this young. My oldest will sometimes wear a ponytail. But daughter #2? Never.

Aw, she's beautiful! I too was typecasting myself as "Mum Of Boys" after my first, but having a little girl second blew that out of the water in a huge surprise in the delivery room. And wow - do I LOVE her!!

That is so adorable!!!! I just loved doing my daughters hair when she was younger. Now she gets to do whatever she wants. :-)

You're absolutely right...there is just something about a girl. It's amazing to see the differences between them; Isabel was always a little mother, too.

Lovin' the pigtails :)

SO TRUE!!! I just love having little girls. They are too much fun.

However, I wouldn't mind one of the other variety next time... :)

She's pretty darn cute, I agree! I have two boys, and I just love having boys. BUT, I wouldn't mind a little girl, for a lot of the reasons you mentioned, the cute clothes and hair do's...and I treasure the close relationship I have with my mom.

But, I think I'm done having kids. :o(

I felt the same way! I just assumed I'd have another boy... I was so shocked leaving the ultrasound with the news that we were having a girl... I never pictured myself with a girl.... And then I started collecting the clothes.. it's silly how cute this stuff is...

My husband DOES NOT GET IT when I say I can't stand how cute the kids are...it must be a Mommy thing....

Oh and Claire is pretty stinkin cute with the pigtails.... we called them 'Whoopsies' when we were kids...

Has she started ripping those pony tails out yet?? Mine put up with them for short periods and then it is crazy hair all over the place.

Did I inspire the pigtails? Don't you just LOVE them??? They make you wanna squish baby cheeks even more than you do normally, huh??

She is truly the princess, and too cute for words! She truly has Grandpa Burd tied around her little finger. (Just in case you didn't know, I kinda like her too!) Can't wait to see pics from Camp Henry.
