How Busy Are Your Hands?

Ok, after a pot of coffee and a couple sodas, I did manage to get enough energy to take Hayden to his gym class and run a few errands. While we were at gym class, I was talking to a mommy friend of mine. Her daughter, who is about 8, was fascinated with the triplets. She would watch them for a while and then ask me a question like; "What are there are there names?", "Do they have the same birthday?", "Who was born first?", "They all live with you?" and other things 8 year olds are interested in.
She stopped after a while and seemed just content to watch the babies play. But then, when there was a pause in the conversation between her mom and I, she said, "Your hands must be very busy. My mom's hands are busy but not as busy as yours."
I just smiled and laughed. She was just so cute. I think that is the best comment about triplets I have ever had. She is certainly right, mommy's sure do have "busy hands."

That's so cute! Your hands are busy because THEIR hands are busy no doubt!

I loved her comments about you.. but even more that she recognized it in her own mother. I can't wait until my girls recognize that it's not all coffees and lunches. Wait, maybe I'm talking about my husband...

What a great way to put it! Much better than some of the other comments I'm sure you're tired of hearing from folks.
