Tomorrow is a big day for us. We are going to pack the van full of stuff and kids and go on a 4 day trip up to camp. I really don't know what I was thinking. I am kinda freaking out over here. This is our first major trip as a family of 6 and the first extended trip with kids ever!
Now yes, we did survive a one night stay at my Grandma's cottage but that was just one night. This is 4 days and 4 nights away from home. Again I ask, what was I thinking when I signed us up for this? I surely was not in my right mind at the time.
But all the freaking out aside, this is happening tomorrow ready or not. Boy, I hope I am ready. I have made lists, reviewed each list a thousand time, gone shopping, charged the camera (so its ready to capture blog worthy material) and have been a packing fool. I think that I have tried to plan/pack for every foreseeable problem and emergency. And if worse comes to worse, the camp is only 2 hours away so if need be we will throw everything and everyone in the car and head home.
So what this means for you, all my bloggy friends and fans, I am not going to be around much the rest of this week. But I know that a lot of you are very busy getting all the kiddos ready for school. So you probably won't even miss me.
Oh but don't worry, you will still be able to get your 'buried with children' fix. I have a lot of fun posts planned. I have been staying up way to late working ahead just for you. Sometimes, I can't believe all the stuff that happens over here and I am living it.
Anyway, I will check in when I can but I have a feeling that I am going to be to busy making sure that the babies don't eat to much dirt, trying to get Hayden out of the water for meals and, oh yeah, having some fun.

Oh Jen, you can totally do this! It's the same kids just in a different environment. If you handle them at home, you're going to be just fine!

You crack me up about "working ahead" like you didn't have enough going on preparing for this trip!! But I'm also happy, I'll continue to get my daily fix!!

Enjoy yourselves! These are the kind of trips that make memories that last a life time. We did a similiar trip. It was crazy and mine are not quite as close as yours. Still, all worth it. My only advice.... don't forget the ice. :)
