This and That About My Boys

While riding in the car, Jacob's favorite thing to do is point out other cars on the the road. I think that he thinks that he is helping me by pointing them out. But he does get a little overwhelmed when go through a congested area. He kind of sounds like a machine gun going off, "Carcarcarcarcarcarcarcarcarcarcarcar."

************

This is a chalk drawing that Hayden did of a picture of our family. He is in pink on the right, the three babies are on the left and Mommy and Daddy are in the middle.
I love the his artwork is starting to look more like thing rather than just a bunch of swirls.

************

Quinn is by far the pickiest eater of the family. He likes to keep me guessing on what he likes and when. One day he will love pasta but then try to serve it to him the next day and he will throw it across the room. But then the day after, it will be all he will eat. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. Just his way of keeping life interesting.

So then knowing that, are you surprise to see him eating two beef flautas? I know that I was.

************

Besides cars, Jacob's other favorite thing in life is animals. He just loves to look at them. That is why taking him to the petting zoo where he could get up close and personal to animals was almost more than his little mind could handle.

************

When there is a plane flying in the sky, what is the best way to see it?

With hand binoculars of course.

************

For the past few weeks, Quinn has be able to climb out of his crib. I can't seem to stop it no matter how I rearrange the room. Because of this, he has two lovely new habits. He likes to sleep under his crib and he gets up at 5AM rip roaring and ready to go.
I don't really care that he likes to sleep under his crib that is fine with me but that fact that I too have to start the day at 5AM is killing me. 5AM is such an awful time to start the day. It is just way too early. God, help me with this kid. I seriously don't know what I am going to do with him.

************

Super Hayden!

This is a log house that Hayden built. He then took a picture of and asked if I could put it on my web site. He said, "Mom, please but this on your website, it is not a dirty picture like some of the others so it will be good there."
Huh?! Dirty pictures!?! I wonder what web site he is talking about, certainly not mine?

Your kids a re so sweet. I love your photos!

Watch out at the petting zoo, though. Every once in awhile that crazy goat gets grumpy and he'll ram you in the butt with his horns. Don't ask me how I know these things!!

Sweet stories! I loved them all! And how in the heck did Hayden know that some places on the computer have dirty pictures?! Men- they start thinking about those things pretty young!

HAHAHA
Thank goodness for that perfectly tame photo of a log cabin. I wonder what "dirty pictures" he was talking about??

Your kids sound hilarious-- and good luck with getting Quinn to sleep past 5am. When I travel with the family I work for, I feel SO lazy, because the kids get up insanely early. If I sleep until 7, that's sleeping in... NOT the normal sleep pattern of a college student!

5 AM??? Oh man, I am so sorry. I am not a morning person so I'd be cranky if I had to wake up at 5 AM.

Really cute pictures. I love the drawing.

Super Hayden!
Love the family portrait. He seems to really have it in clear perspective size wise. I'm impressed.
Perhaps he's referring to all the mud huts he's photographed.

It's certainly NOT dirty!! LOL kids crack me up with the thinkgs they come out with!!

5AM is no time to wake up, Quinn! I am still reeling from the story of Quinn climbing out and falling asleep under his crib. I am a teensy bit phobic of my kids being snatched, and this includes disappearing in the night. I am still sharing your panic over that one.

Dirty pictures? Maybe he meant like posting pictures of kids playing in mud.

I love the pic of your family that Hayden drew!! That's so funny that he drew himself in a separate bubble than the triplets!!

I've been starting my day at unGodly hours too now that Garrett and Landon have been in toddler beds. I think it should be illegal to have to get out of bed and start the day when the sky is still pitch black.

I'm having a multiples book giveaway on my blog tomorrow (Tues)...come check it out!

As for crbs *sigh* containment is a beautiful thing! I never missed a piece of furniture so much when Jakey-D outgrew his.

The hand binoculars are great! I love the picture too and wonder where the dirty picture idea came from. Maybe you'll have to do some investigative work, LOL!

Great stuff! We went through the same thing when Sophie started climbing out of her crib. It took a couple of months, but she's back to a more normal time.

OMGosh! So much worthy of comments from this post!

Not only love that hayden make hand binoculars, but that you got a picture of it is perfect!

Emma says "busbusbusbusbusbus" when we are in the van. LOL

So sorry about the 5am wake-up. I know you commented on my crib tents and I'll tell you what, mine know how to unzip them too, so I pinned them shut with diaper pins! LOL There is NO way I can get up at 5am. UGH! Hope you find a way to end that!

I'm glad you took those topless pictures of me down...I wouldn't go so far as to call them dirty, but defnitely inappropriate for little eyes. Sorry Hayden!!
