What A Weird Dream

I don't often dream but when I do they are very, very vivid. Like wake up out of breath vivid. Basically, my dreams are exhausting. So I really don't like to dream. But when I am over tired, I tend to dream more. Lately, I have been really tired so I have been having some really interesting dreams.

Last week, I had a dream about bloggers. I dreamt that Mama Kat was president and Lula was vice president. I was there playing assistant and helping them run the country. Making the world a better place for bloggers.

I also had a dream where I was a 17 year old girl living in a small town on the coast of Maine. I was going through all the teenage angst and trying to figure out who I was and so on. When I find out the I am being transformed into a mermaid. Scales started busting up on my arms and I had to deal with my legs fusing together.

Then other night I had this dream. It was my 10 year high school reunion. I was successful and smokin' hot so I just had to be there. I also was in charge of planning the whole event. On the night of the big event, there he is, the guy I had a crush on all though high school. I see him across the room and he is totally checking me out . The hottest guy in hole school then and now, well time has been good. He is a mix of Johnny Depp and George Clooney. Wipe up my drool, gorgeous.

I see him. He sees me. He walks towards me. We meet in the center of the room. My heart is racing. You can just feel the chemistry between us. He leans in to says something and all I hear coming from his mouth is crying. Huh!?

Lets try this again (yes, my dream rewinds). I see him. He sees me. He walks towards me just oozing sex appeal. The chemistry between is just about to explode. He leans in to say.... and crying. Just stop the crying, I try to tell him but every time he opens his mouth there is crying.

Wait a minute, that crying is some what familiar to me. I know that crying but from where? I can't quite put my finger on it. Oh yup, there it is, Quinn. That is Quinn's cry. Why does this guy sound like Quinn? This is not funny at all. He needs to stop. We are finally going to have our moment. The moment I have been waiting years for......

And then I am jumped on. Not by the hottie or by Jeff but by a very real, very angry, very loud, crying Quinn. Good morning to you too.

Weird, just weird.

Even though this post doesn't really fit into any of the prompts this week for Writer's Workshop. Those prompts did inspire it, don't ask me how but they did. So there, assignment complete. Check out other posts here.

Welcome to the real world!

I hate waking up to a crying kid.

I have super vivid action movie dreams... they are exhausting sometimes... I've also dreamt about bloggy friends whom i've never actually met...

I never have dreams any more. Do you think that means I am old? Any dream with Johnny Dep in it is a good one!

My dreams are real vivid too and it always seems there is a child waking me up right when it is about to get good!
Visiting from MamaKats.

That is hilarious! That's good you remember your dreams. I always remember I had a dream but cannot remember most of what it's about.

And don't you love how your real life seems to interrupt the dream world so inconveniently?? I love it!

I dream every night. Every. Single. Night. Often times I forget them after fully waking up, unless they are particulary odd, then I rewind them in my mind so that I can remember them.

Now that I think about it, I have never dreamed of any of my bloggy pals. Huh.

I'm thinking that we would be so much better off if MamaKat and Lula were in charge! =)

Hmmm, I wonder what Freud's respose to that dream would be? lol Definitely a strange one!

My dreams NEVER make sense. Like, none at all. So much so that words hardly do them justice.

And you bloggers that actually POST now and then prolly voted me out, eh? LOL

LOL! That's hilarious! The life of a mom!

I hate when that happens! When the kids were babies after I put them back down I'd try to fall back asleep to where the dream left off, never happened. Thus, my relationship with Matt Damon was never to be.

Those are some cool dreams!!! And darn crying Quinn? Didn't he know Momma was going to get her dream kiss?

That's too funny!! We should know better that we can't even have mommy time in our dreams!!

That is so funny! I hate when a great dream is ruined by a screaming little one!

Hopefully you'll get to finish the dream someday!

i hate weird dreams, but even worse than a weird dream is being waken during a great one. hope you get to finish that dream :)

Wow, dreaming about bloggers? Does this mean you're spending too much time online in the blogosphere?! LOL!

Too bad about being woken up during that last one. What can you do when your baby (or one of them!) needs you!

I think someone ate Mexican food before bed. Does it every time :)

That's about the time that I try really hard to go right back to sleep and pick up where I left off. Never happens though.

Girl, me thinks you (and I) need a vacation after those dreams! :)

THat is just too funny! I don't dream much but it usually ends up being centered around some noise that's happening in the real world and my mind makes it into a very, VERY realistic dream scenario. It never ends well :)

I thought it was a good post anyway! That's too funny, and I'm terribly sorry that you dream didn't end much better! :)

Sometimes I dream like that. Especially when I was pregnant!

I have super vivid dreams too! I hate when you are dreaming something good and then you are disturbed by crying or "mommy!"

You are such a good storyteller:-)

A crying kid is always destined to ruin a steamy, sexy dream. Never fails.

And of course on the nights where I can't seem to sleep, that's when they sleep beautifully. Never fails.

I have some crazy ass dreams. Pretty much every night. Generally they are forgotten within minutes of waking up, but the more vivid ones stick with me. I used to keep a journal, but I just don't have time for that these days.

I think Kat would make an excellent president, don't you? :-)

That is too funny! It's usually the sound of a loud snore (or even a fart) that I hear coming from the dreamy guy in my dreams...!

These are all really good!

I love the last one with the crying!

I can't remember my last dream now but I remember it was really weird!

DANGIT!

You spoiled the surprise. Kathy and I were ARE going to run for President and VP in 3 more years. And we're going to ask you to be our secretary of state. Wooooooo!!!!

p.s. Johnny Depp mixed with George Clooney? Yes, please.

KatBouska said...

Lula is right.

Your dreams are prophetic...you have quite the gift Jen.

I don't know how we're going to deal with a mermaid secretary, but we'll work something out.

Maybe we bloggers will finally get our chance at world domination. I don't know. Just a guess. I hope it comes true.
