We made pancakes this morning too.

Although the fanciest we got were mouse shaped ones.

Happy Saturday.

good job, daddy.

How cut are they? You little girl is starting to really look like a little girl instead of a toddler. Look out mama. She is going to be a looker.

Those are awesome! Your hubby is uber talented.

(We have that same huge bag of Krusteaz pancake mix at our house, but I make more Belgian waffles than I do pancakes...)

Love it when kids want to help in the kitchen.

My husband made pancakes once. My getting to sleep in was worth the chipped tooth.

Looks delicious!

Those pancakes are works of art! Y'all are SO creative with your food. I am so pathetic - basically an 8-10 meal rotation. I just can't stand the constant "WHAT IS THAT??? Do I have to eat it??? REALLY???" Plus, when I make new stuff it always turns out... wrong. Not burnt or underdone, but just yucky. I am best to stick with Chef Boyardee.

I have never got my pancakes to look as good as yours. Since I read your first posts on how to do this, I've tried. But not as much luck as Jeff the Gourmet Pancake Guy.

See, half my problem is that (due to being RUSHED by small people) I sometimes get lumpy bits in my batter and when I'm squeezing that out the tiny hole in the plastic bag things get a bit constipated in Pancake Batter Land, then the lump pops out and whoosh a huge glob of coloured batter spurts out and I end up making Amorphous Shapes instead of things like flags and fireworks.

And the kids often want their NAMES and my mirror writing doesn't go all that well under time-related pressure.

wow those are award winning!!! Very cool!

I get lumps too, but I just pull them out with my fingers and resume. Fewer blobs that way. And I write backwards on paper first if necessary.
