Well, we have gotten some snow. OK, more than some, how about 10 inches, give or take an inch!
It is yucky outside not a good day to go out and about. I was talking, no whining, to my sister about how we couldn't go anywhere and the babies were board and how I was out of things to do. She suggested to take the babies outside. This is something that I have not done yet. They have not experienced the snow. So after listening to her pep talk, I agreed, outside we go.
I began the mad dash to find all the snow pants, boots, hats and mittens and quickly dress everyone. Once that was done, it was outside to 'play' in the snow.
It went over better than I thought. I timed it and it took 17 minutes to get everyone dressed and we were outside for 23 minutes. I will call that even.
The babies were kind of dumbfounded by what they saw and very frustrated that they couldn't walk. I don't know if it was because of the snow or the fact that they were wearing boots that were at least 3 sizes too big.
We were forced to stay on the side walk and on the porch. The snow is so deep everywhere else, that I fear little ones might get lost in it. Or at least fall cause much crying and disdain. Maybe next time, if they last, we will get out the sled. But for now, it is just walking an checking things out.

Oh look @ Claire in her cutie-patutie purple hat and gloves - I mean the boys look cute too - but hers are especially cute! And 17 min. for 3 children and winter preparation is VERY VERY impressive I'd say!!! :-)
Oh great pictures... looks like so much fun for the kids. Mine are begging me to take them somewhere cold & snowy for Christmas (we'll never see it here)
Well, that answers the question I just emailed you about the snow...
They look so stinkin' cute in their snowsuits. What a good momma you are!
Next time, snowball fight!
How cute are they in their little snowsuits! We got a dusting of snow tonight while we were down at the harbor watching the boat parade. Sophie was dumbfounded. It was great.
You kiddos are adorable! And I think you got them ready faster than it took me to go out in our piddly 3 inches today. Well done!
Awwwwwwww the kids look so cute!
I bet mom's tired too huh? Probably wore you out more than them-ADORABLE! Oh the things we do...
They look stinkin' cute all bundled up!! =)
Your kids look so cute!
17 minutes has to be some kind of record!! Especially since they stayed out longer!! That NEVER would have happened at my house!! You are AWESOME!!! :D
10 inches! Wow... we got a dusting that quickly melted... I am not ready for a big snow yet..
That's a lot of snow! Wow. We haven't even iced anything yet, much less had snow. Then again, we rarely do. boohoo
The babies look adorable. I love them in those snow outfits. hehe
So cute. Makes me feel a bit guilty that my noys have never seen snow. Can we come visit? LOL!
I'm glad they enjoyed the snow!! Getting on that snow gear is totally exhausting, isn't it?
oh my goodness! they are so unbeleivably cute... I want to eat them up!!
we only have a few thus far... not even enough to play in yet... but I'm ready!! : )
awww, that is seriously precious!!! I hasve twins and they are 16 months behnd their big sister ( now 15 and 14) I totally remember those days, they flew by to fast! your family is beautiful!!! LA
I can't get my head about the fact that it's freezing where you live, and here in Australia we're sweating, gasping in the humidity and lying awake at night under the fan listening to the thunderstorms.
Can you REALLY be about to have Christmas wearing warm clothes and huddled around the fire? We're wearing as little as we can without being obscene, and Christmas food is usually cold meats and salad.
ARGH! I have followed your blog For Ever but never actually bbecome a real "follower" - you must think I'm so rude! I am so sorry. I have become a follower, and join you under the pile.
Oh, so sweet! I am quite jealous of your truly wintry weather as we shopped for our tree today surrounded by people in tank tops.
[sigh]
The grass is always greener (whiter), isn't it?

Sending some sunshine and Aloha from Hawaii. Just for you!!
So cute and funny. They look a little dazed ... like they are on a forced march in a strange land. Love that it takes about as long to dress 'em as it does for the expedition!
They did really well, we had much whining and crying. But maybe that's just being 2. Good times...
Our snow has melted but I'm sure it will be back soon enough. looks like they had fun.
I love bundled up babies!!!So cute!
I wouldn't even begin to have a clue as to how to get a baby in a snowsuit :-)
I would love to have a smidge of that weather here. Just a pretty layer of snow...and not the driving issues that usually come with it. On the RARE ocassion that it happens here.
I love those hats with the pom-pom thingys!
This reminds me of when my oldest experienced snow for the 1st time. She was about 23 months old... I should post about it, then I'd have something to blog about. Anyway, the 1st time the youngest saw snow was when she was 2 or 3. And that's it... we don't get snow down here. It's very rare. The major concern for us is ice. Not only on the roads but tree limbs ice over and break off, falling on power lines. Not good.
Snow much fun! :o)
We don't have any snow here yet! We've only had one storm, but the snow all melted away. It's a bit unusual for where I live!
I'm actually hoping for a little snow because we are going to Tucson for Christmas!
Brave mama!
I love the looks on their faces.
I love the first time in the snow! They look so cute. When you were talking about the snow pants and big boots that scene form "A Christmas Story" ran through my head. You know where the older brother says that his kid brother looked like a tick about to pop?
I have a friend who suggested when my kids were board on such a day that I put their swim suits on and put them in my bath tub, give them popcicles and play Beach Boys music. Never tried it, but if you do, let me know how that goes.
i thought getting two dressed for the snow was bad. i never thought about getting triplets ready. it looks like they had fun!
so stinking cut e- my baby girl hates the snow - can't walk in her boots either!
