This Is Not Helpful

This is Claire. Isn't she cute? I think so but that is just me.
Claire likes to be helpful. She is the best at finding trash and putting it in the trash can.

See here she is putting diapers in the diaper pail/trash can.

She is doing a really good job. But wait, do you see something wrong here?

Beside the fact that there is no bag in the pail, those are not dirty diapers. They are clean unused diapers.

She opened two packs of diapers, well they were open and one was almost gone but still, and put all the diapers in the trash. She even got Jake involved and he helped her fill the pail.
Thanks Claire, but that was NOT helpful at ALL!

Oh no! Trevor just started putting things in the trash this weekend and I'm trying to keep an eye on what's going in! My SIL said her son threw away the remote once. SO not acceptable!! :) Hope you're feeling better!

She is ADORABLE! It could have been worse...there could have been dirty diapers mixed in!! That would have made for fun retrieval!!

It may not have been helpful, but it was adorable. And precious blog fodder. Run...go thank her for this bit of deliciousness.

She's totally adorable! Sure it was helpful. That will now just have to be a clean diaper storage container. If you get a new one for dirty diapers, you are set. :)

She was just doing what she sees mommy do! Hehe.

hope you all are feeling better!

Look on the bright side she could have been taking dirty diapers OUT of the trash can.

Well... hmm.... since there seem to be some force fields of some sort around our trashes that inhibit the girls' ability to use them... i would probably be okay with that.

Too funny!!! My tot likes to "help" too... a little too much at times!

I noticed before you even wrote it and said outloud "Oh no!" Of course my husband, was like "What?! What's wrong?!"
We wait to see if what we teach them happens, then when it does and works a little toooo much, it tuens back into a pain again! The Kid helps pick up the pieces of dog food off the floor and put it back into the bowl...until there is none and he thinks it all needs to go back on to the floor!

My kids love to put toys in the trash can. I have thought about just leaving them there.

It is most certainly not just you, that girl is righteously cute. What is it with kids and trashcans? Unfortunately, mine is still more in the taking stuff OUT phase. Eww.

Ah, reminds me of the day when my youngest cleaned the bathroom floor with shampoo. Or should I say the hours and hours I spent trying to get all the shampoo off the bathroom floor. Gotta love'em!

I get that, but it's clean, folded clothes put into the hamper. Guess it's my fault for not putting them away....

At least she was trying! LOL too cute!

Gotta love those girls!

Gabe went through a spell where he threw half of the Leap Frog refrigerator magnets in the frig. Of course, I didn't discover it until they were gone...long gone.

Were you able to save most of them?

Susie said...

Oh no! They just don't understand do they?

LOL! You gotta love it. She is adorable btw!!

We find all kinds of things in the trash and recycle bins...remotes, toys, cups, utensils. There is never a shortage of "help" :D

Snickering...

First...she is really cute.

Second...someday the hrlpfullness will really be helpful.

Third...bad news. They usually learn how to put them on their dolls before then learn that diapers do not grow on trees and therefore need to be treated like a hot commodity.

Good luck. We ended up putting our up high so that we didn't end up wasting half the box.

BTW- thank you for missing me. I missed you too.

better there than in the toilet :)

Awww - how adorable is she just wanting to help Mama?

I don't have the heart to tell her that she's killing our planet.

So kidding - disposable diapers rule.

I know, I know, I'm going to hell. Blah, blah, blah.

At least there weren't dirty ones in there too. I love how kids want to be helpful. When it's fun for them. And not how and when you need them to be. Things never change.

Proof that an A for effort is not always true.

She is adorable. It's nice to have a little "helper."

I hope there weren't any dirty diapers mixed in with those clean ones!

Oh, but she gets points for being so cute right?!

So funny! My daughter will help put trash or "dash" in the wastebasket. I lost my watch months ago around the time she learned about the whole "dash" thing...I think that is where it ended up :( So, as cute as it can be that they are trying to be helpful, as a mother, I totally understand that it can be frustrating at the same time!

Oh dear. I'm afraid I am all too familiar with helpful little people!!

Jennifer said...

LOL! What a good little helper! And yes--she's VERY cute!!

Heather said...

How can you resist that face??? I would have been handing her the diapers to throw away under the sheer hypnosis of those eyes.

My little Harrison throws EVERYTHING away. I'm missing a pair of glasses that STILL haven't shown up which I am sure are in a landfill somewhere. AND I can't find the birthday gift I bought for my sister. A really nice gift I might add. I'm worried it's in a land fill somewhere, too. **sniff, sniff**
