Look at this poor baby boy. He has a corneal abrasion. How in the world did he get a corneal abrasion you ask? Well, Hayden "poked his eye to see how sharp his fingernails were." And then to just add fuel to the mommy fire Hayden added, "Well Mom, my fingernails are really long you need to cut them." That kid is SO on my list.Update from my 'Therapy': I just have to say Thank you. I have never felt to loved, adored and supported. You all are truly amazing. I am working today so I don't have to face the kids. But I love all the suggestion and advice and I am so going to follow some and make some changes. I will climb out of this funk soon.

I'm glad to hear you are feeling better today, whether you're at work or not.
I can't imagine being cooped up with three little toddlers and a preschooler during the winter months. Girl, you need some mommy playdates and a finished basement, that's what you need.
And definitely more wine.
I love you. Hang in there. That which doesn't kill us only makes us stronger. Right?
hey hon, if you're anywhere close to detroit, there's a detroit mommies group there that's part of "The Mommy Network." If you're not close to detroit, you can start your own, or get a couple other mommies in your area to start one with you. I'm a part of our local mommies group. They get together to do different activities .. scrapbooking, candle making, lunches out, potluck dinners, playdates for the kids ... playdates for the mommies, it may help everyone. Mommies need a break sometimes too. :) Check out their site sometime and see what they're all about :) http://www.themommiesnetwork.org/
Glad to hear you are feeling better. As my father always told me (though I don't think he was referring to children): "Don't let the bastards grind you down."
Love the photo!
i'm telling you tht hayden really belongs with brooke! they are two peas in a pod. keep ur head high...and trim their nails. :)
Dang kids...
Don't they know what curiosity did to the cat???
my baby pokes himself in the eye all the time!I am sure he will be blind before he reaches school age.
OUCH! I'm sure as your kids grow up, you will be like our family - at least one trip to the doctor's office a week. With 4 kids, it's inevitable.
And, as for yesterday, glad to hear you're doing better. One other thing I thought of later: don't be afraid to try something and if it doesn't work, just stop and change and do something else. Not all solutions work and trying to FORCE something to work (that may have worked for someone else but not for you) is like sticking a square peg into a round hole. The secret - oh, I guess it's not really a secret - is to try lots of different things and find out what works, and don't get too committed to any one idea in case that's the one that fails. Go with the flow. Okay, that's enough silly sayings!
And, girlfriend, WHY AM I NOT ON YOUR FRIENDS SIDEBAR????" i'm officially offended. okay, not really. lol
aww, poor little guy. give him an extra hug and kiss from us today!
if you ever need anything, i am an email (or a phone call) away!
Ow and ouch and yuck! That sounds painful.
Hope your weekend is good, m'dear.
Ouch! Poor guy--I hope his eye feels ok!
Hope you continue to feel better!!
I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. Maybe some of those suggestions will help keep everyone busy enough:-) Give you a break from the drama:-)
Glad to hear that you are feeling better. As for yestedays post. I only have three children and now that they are up and can get things for themselves and don't need me to change them or feed them or burp them or listen to them cry, I love them so much more than I did when they were small. And most mothers feel that way sometimes (if they are being honest mothers anyway). I love love love the stinking heck out of my kids, but I love it when they go to school everyday too. It makses me appreciate them more. Yeah, that's my story anyway.
oh my goodness!! poor guy!
Poor baby. I hope his boo boo is all better soon. I am so glad that you are feeling better today. HUGS.
oh my word, I almost fainted at the thought of a finger in the eye like that. poor baby!!
It's all fun and games until you poke an eye out. When you do, you better hope it's not yours.
oooooo....poor monkey!
Man, Hayden sounds just like Max...
Now that is the face of an unhappy little guy.
That scary face would be enough for me to turn the TV back on and quietly. step. away. from. the. baby.
i hope you had a good day at work!
i found this post today, and thought of you from yesterday: http://blogaroundtheworld2.blogspot.com/2008/12/wheres-manual.html
The only nice thing about a funk is actually coming out of it. :o)
poor little guy. kid fingernails grow at lightening speed. there is no way to keep up.
Poor kid! Hope he feels better soon. But just think...if the Boob Tube had been on, he might have incurred bruises to his brain!
ah, the Mommy Funk! It's about a tempermental as the kids, right?! If it makes you feel any better... yesterday my son came home and had scratches all over his face. I wanted to blame daycare (because I would never let him scratch his face I'm sure), but they didn't look like they were from playing. So then I went to give him a bath and I noticed his chin was really red. There was a scratch! In my defense, his nails didn't look that long...well, not all of them. My point is that at least Jacob didn't so it to himself. Mine did, so what does that say about me?! Ugh!
poor baby and glad you hear you are feeling a bit better!
