Let's Go See Some Christmas Lights

We all piled (we work well with piles) into the van to see some Christmas lights.
Did you know that a mini van could hold 9 people 3 of whom were still in car seats? Safety? Well, we always keep safety in mind.
We all squeezed in, well everyone in the back squeezed, Jeff and I were rather comfy in the front. Jeff was driving and I had to take pictures, oh course.

A note on the photos, have you ever taken photos at night, in the freezing rain, in a moving car, not using a flash, all while trying to keep a 4 year old from climbing out the window of a moving van?

It is not easy. So here is what you get of our 'Night Light's Tour'.

Not really sure what a See Dragon and a Helicopter (I guess Santa has to have some way to get around once the reindeer got tired but I still am not getting the sea dragon) have to do with Christmas but they were cool to look at all the same.

I just love Christmas lights, don't you?

Love Christmas lights!!!! Love, Love, Love! I can never figure the dragon out either. We have them in our area's light displays too. (Maybe Chinese New Year?, but the is a complete stab in the dark,)

It's the Loch Ness Monster! I'm sure he's big in Scotland this time of year. Just like the Christmas lobster and octopus in "Love Actually."

We're doing the tour of lights tonight...our local park has a big set up where businesses and individuals sponsor displays. Litton Family Medicine's light display is Santa playing volleyball with his elves--the ball goes back & forth over the next and it's way cool. 'Cause yeah...Santa plays volleyball. You know? Wow, I'll have to blog about this. And your Christmas loch ness monster.

We like to go out looking at Christmas lights, too! Maybe we'll do this tonight. We know of a few houses that go all out... I'll have to try to take a few pics.

I'm not sure what a sea serpent monster thingy has to do with Christmas, either!

I'm nervous to go do the tour of lights. Last year, granted she was only two months old, but still, our darling daughter screamed bloody murder the WHOLE time. Like an hour and a half. It. was. awful.

I love offering to caravan everyone around. And then at the last minute, while some unknowing adult thinks I am going to be nice enough to give up the front seat stands there, I hop into the passenger front seat. Shotgun baby! Hope you had fun. Have a Merry Christmas!

The lights are so awesomesauce! There is a county park back where I am from that does a festival of lights, this reminds me of it so much...only we don't have 3 feet of snow on the ground back in South Carolina.

We're going caroling and Christmas light-watching tonight. I'm not sure which displays I like the most...the ones done by the pros, or the neighborhood decorations. I love to drive by the houses that have really gone "over the top"!

I LOVE looking at Christmas lights. We have a small garland with lights around our front door. But our neighborhood - wow. People go all out.

I think they were great shots! We went the other night and I found out that I had forgotten to charge my camera! So no pics. Oh! And Santa's helicopter and sea dragon were at ours too!
