The Most Beautiful Christmas Tree of All, Really It Is!

So for this week of Wordful Wednesday over at Seven Clown Circus, I thought that I would show you a picture of our Christmas tree. There are some beautiful trees out there in the blogosphere (some have been up for quite some time). I just had to show you ours.

So are you ready? It's a good one!

Here it is....

Ta-Daaah!

Yup that is right. There is our tree. It is laying on the floor in the garage just waiting. Just waiting and taunting me. I know its there I know that all it wants is to feel complete and to be dressed and sparely for Christmas. But I am not worried. I know that I have plenty of time until Christmas. Don't worry, Mr Tree, you will be all beautiful soon. Just give me a couple days, maybe a week tops....

What? What is that? What is that craziness you are talking?

HOLD THE EVER LOVIN' PHONE! CHRISTMAS IS NEXT WEEK!!!!!

WAIT!

STOP!!!

I AM NOT READY!!!!!

I have just barely begun shopping. I have no idea what I am going to make for all our family gatherings. I have no groceries to make said holiday goodies. Nothing. How in the world could this happen? How did Christmas just sneak up on me like this? Can I have more time? Please?

Tell me I am not the only one. *sniffle sniffle*

I'm only just behind you!
It's my son's birthday in December and he absolutely will not let us do anything Christmassy until he's had enough time to celebrate!

Oh no....somehow, I was able to get the "go" and just got most everything this past weekend!! Good luck....put the tree up first, that should help push you into gear!!

I have a tree up, sorta decorated. I am too embarrassed to post pictures of it though, because it does evoke thoughts of Charlie Brown

It looks like we're both not doing so well with the decorating, etc. At least you have the excuse of being sick. :)

You are SO not alone...I have so much to do still. ACK.

Christmas snuck up on me this year too.......despite my best intentions. Forget that holiday baking. Let others bring you goodies this year...:)

Uh-oh.

You do know that Christmas trees need to be watered, right? heh.

poor little tree...remember, use a charlie brown blanket as a tree skirt and everything will be fine...the tree decorates itself that way! it has to be true...i saw it on tv!

Claim insanity... and get shopping!

Rhea said...

hahaha We just decorated our tree yesterday, and I thought I was behind.

Christmas has totally snuck up on my this year. I saw it coming but I seemed powerless to do anything about it.

You are not the only one my friend. **PANIC**

There is an award for you on my blog.

I think this holiday has really sneeked up on everyone:-(

Jen -- You win the most beautiful tree award! LOL! You are doing better than me as my tree is still living at the tree lot.

We got out the ceramic christmas tree that Jim's mom made back in the 70's. I told the girls I was only buying them miniature gifts so it works.

haha, i am so right there with you. well, i was until i got sick and losing this past weekend made me put my butt in gear on monday and now i am almost finished. it is insane how quickly i can work when properly motivated. good luck, you will get it done!

Hey you should decorate it on Christmas Eve. It can be your new family tradition. Then, the kids won't bug you all night about opening presents. It will be fun! i mean, how long to Real trees last anyway?

And, shopping? Dood - totally do the gift card thing. Except for the babies - they might not get too excited.

Gretchen said...

And, no matter how desperate you get to give a creative gift, please don't give anyone a....

TURD!!!

That would be gross. And messy. And a bad family tradition!

LOL

Christmas came way too fast this year! We do have our tree up but I am slow with the shopping. I just can't get into it and get it done!

I hear ya sister, what the heck with Christmas being next week. I haven't done one ounce of shopping and we don't have a tree yet. Hope you are able to get all your stuff done.

Look at the bright side, you won't have to take it down! Don't stress, simplify.

Cristin said...

Oh No!

I won't annoy you with how little I have left to buy...I'm about halfway done food shopping for our party...

It did kind of pounce this year, didn't it? I hope all the prep work's not too stressful this week! :)

sorry, I seem to be pretty much finished!! But then again I live alone with the cat and am off to share Christmas with Mum and Dad and company, so I do have less to do - if that makes you feel better!! ha ha!!

I think this happens to everyone at some stage... we didn't get the tree up a couple of years ago!

I read this. Saw the picture. Heard your plea for help. Felt your pain.

It's not even 4 pm here, but I'm seconds away from enjoying an ice cold beer. In your honor. Girl, you need it.

I'm with Lula. I'll have a glass of wine for you. Now I may not be able to help you with the tree but I can help you with what you should be making for all your gatherings. :) Good luck. Take a deep breath and get it done.

At least you have a tree! It has rained so darn much here the past few days that we still don't even have one!!! UGH! I am DYING! Mine is normally up and decorated by now.... HOLY!
PS Glad I'm not alone on this "ready for Christmas" stuff. LOL

Hippomanic Jen said...

Oh, tell me about it. At least I've started the shopping, but trying to get all my work commitments, community commitments, house cleaned and then food all ready in the next week is going to be a tight fit.

CaraBee said...

I'm not too far behind you! I do have the tree up, but only because I did the lazy mom's version. As for presents, I'm just getting started and I have to ship most of mine!! I'm in way over my head as usual and stuff will no doubt get there late. My mom is crazy efficient. When do I get to inherit that trait?

Karen said...

Right there with you! My tree is up, but that is it. No shopping done....none....zip....zilch.

Nicole said...

I wish! No my hubby made me put ours up the week before Thanksgiving!

Ash said...

Can you believe my parents were insane enough to decorate the tree on Christmas Eve, after my brother and I went to bed?

Santa brought EVERYTHING - yeah, that tradition didn't last too long.

Good luck. Know I'm right there with you!

I'm not ready for it either. I have decided that I am going to start planning for next Christmas next Friday. I can't beleive how behind I am this year!

Jennifer said...

I know! It's like someone pushed the fast forwad button! I thought I had so much time--and now I just don't!

Good luck w/ your tree--it will be beautiful I'm sure!

Zip n Tizzy said...

You're just preserving the tree so that the littles don't take it down as fast as you put it up. It's intentional, and you're right on time to put it up the night before.
If it makes you feel any better, I just ordered our holiday cards last night!

Michelle said...

I feel the same way! Could we reschedule Christmas to say, January 25th? It would fit in my schedule so much better.

P.S. my tree is not up yet either. I am hoping for tomorrow.

Ashley said...

Christmas is still a week away, but its not too early to start planning your Christmas tree.

Jenners said...

Oh this was too funny! Good luck ... and I think getting the tree up late makes it more special. We put ours up after Thanksgiving and, to be honest, we are little tired of it now. The magic has disappeared. I think we'll wait later next year!

Our tree is up but I have barely started shopping. UGH!!

You are not the only one. I am so far behind. I have so much to do...ugggg.

Very cute post and your kids are so adorable.

Thanks for stopping by my WW.
