Stop the Mom Abuse!

I am sitting here, reading some blogs. As I read, I reach up to scratch an itch on my forehead. In doing so my hand comes across of very painful lump right on my hair line.

Huh?
That is kind of odd?
I don't remember hitting my head today.
Why do I have a big bump on my head?
Ouch!
This really hurts!
What the heck happened?

Oh yes, I remember now. Quinn is going through a new phase. A head butting phase. Isn't that lovely. Usually I can get out of the way fast enough not to get caught. But not today, he clocked me a good one. I really hope this ends soon.
I already end up with a headache by the end of most days. I don't need a painful lump to go along with it. How come no one told me that one of the things involved in being a mom is getting head butted by your toddler? I so did not sign up for that!

You need to stop sending him to World Wrestling classes for toddlers. :)

that must have been a killer head butt if it took you a while to remember why you had a big bump on your head :)

Aidan still sometimes tries to do that. And he has a big hard melon! I tell him every time "Aidan, you head is not to be used as a weapon". I may have nightmares later in life of a huge round object flying at my face....

Yeah! Stop the Mum abuse! It's physical, it's emotional, and it includes large doses of neglect too! Poor us, I think.

Now look at that little cutie! How can you honestly blame something like that on someone who looks so darn cute??? ;)
There is a reason God gives us cute kids!! LOL

Take two tylenol and hug him in the morning.

And, keep yourself highly caffeinated to ensure extremely fast reflexes.

Good luck.

My hubby plays the head-butting game with the boys. Luckily they limit their aggression to him...hope you can move more quickly next time ;)

My boys all tried that as tots, not for long though!

Visiting from SITS, found you through "One Crafty Mama." Yes, I've been headbutted a time or two...no fun :-)

Cute blog! Happy day to you!

Oh yeah, I hate the heat butts...and the head-throw-back-into-the-neck. That makes me verrrrry grumpy. It is hard to love a little volatile person. I hope the phase ends soon!!!

I feel you! My daughter is always throwing her head back into me when she is in my lap or when I am holding her and I keep thinking that one of these times she is going to break my nose. The upside, I could finally get the nosejob I've always wanted!

Oh no!

But I think CynthiaK has some great advice, LOL!

. . . this is too weird and funny - I have a big bump on my forehead and have NO idea how I got it!

I remember when KiKi was going through this stage, I once got it straight in the lip and had a fat lip for 2 days. Hopefully he will outgrow it as quickly as KiKi did.

Head butting hurts. Ouch.

I remember when Donny was 3 and we should have changed his name to the wiener whacker...he loved to fling his arms out and he was at the perfect level to hit men in the you-know-what. It wasn't a pretty site.
