Boys Will be Boys.

As long as I live, I will never ever understand boys and why this or any other form of rough housing is fun.

Honestly - guys! My husband encourages the kids to walk all over his back to see how much he can stand. They think it's awesome, I can barely watch.

I don't get it either. I am glad I have girls:-) God bless mothers with young sons!!

I totally don't get it either. I'll toss one of those bouncy balls from the giant plastic pits at Walmart at our son; he doesn't even flinch. I toss a pillow at him, he dies of laughter.

Being the mother of two rowdy boys and one overly-addicted-to-their-giggles Dummy ... this sort of thing happens A LAWT at our house.

What really makes me laugh, is how they (guys) all laugh the same when they are rough housing. Funny video, thanks for sharing.

Child abuse is fun isn't it??

Kidding!!

I love the giggle too. We have one of those blow up punching bags and Graham loves when we beat him with it...

OMG I just found your blog. I love it !

I'm a custodial StepMom to triplets. I've been raising them full-time since they were one year olds. I just read your post about taking them out when they were young (well, yours are still young, mine are in middle school now), and I couldn't do it. It was way to hectic and stressful for me.

The one time I ventured out to the grocery store with them when they were two, I loaded them into the SUV, and forgot to load the groceries into the SUV, and I drove away from the parking lot with a shopping cart full of food left behind.

I remembered I forgot to load the groceries before I made it home, and I turned around and high tailed it back to the parking lot. Luckily my food was still there. Could have been the pregnancy hormones adding to my forgetfulness. lol

It does get easier, somewhat.

Homework is one of the biggest challenges with triplets, oh, and the constant bickering and tattling.

I have older kids from a previous marriage, and I had custody of them (they are now all adults), and my new hubby & I have one younger child together.

The worst part is when strangers start asking me about the conception part (yes, the mom does have fertility issues and yes, fertility shots and IUI were involved in her conceiving them) right infront of my step-triplets. It makes them feel very uncomfortable, so they avoid mentioning they're triplets unless they're directly asked about it (seldom happens anymore).

Now that they're older, and they're different sizes, and look very different from one another, I think most people think they're just twins, so the questions have pretty much ceased completely.

How do you deal with getting all of them loaded up to go somewhere ?

I remember having to listen to lots of crying as I loaded one kid into their carseat at a time. I think the other two thought I was going to leave them behind.

Hang in there !

How cute is this! My hats off to you. I don't think my nerves could take rough-housing.

Very cute Jen. I love the part where Hayden falls over (but wasn't hurt) and his laugh is priceless!

Boys are just programmed that way. I agree with everyone else, the laugh is the best part of that video. Awesome!

That's hilarious. I love that your husband is laughing just as much. What IS that? My boys would love it, whatever it is.

For inquiring minds, the thing that Jeff is 'beating' our child with is like an air mattress. The box said it was an inflatable jumping mat. Oh, it has so many more uses.

Kids love this! Why do so many people think that girls are not into it?

My girl is so rough she just broke the headphone jack this morning and as I don't have any speakers on my computer, all I got was video. Disappointing.

I LOVE IT!!! Where do you get one of those inflatable trampolines?!?

Lol...that's just like it here in our house!! We 'rasle' (wrestle) like it's their job! Oh, and don't for get the occassional game of dodge ball in the living room (with the squishy balls, thank goodness).!!

me, too! It's amazing (and confusing) why they enjoy this rough play. Just like you said - boys will be boys!
