When Hayden was almost 2, we took him to the zoo to see the giraffes. It was really cool. You stood on this deck and were able to feed them. They would come right up to you and take the 'crackers' out of your hands. For the longest time after this trip, if you asked Hayden what the giraffe does, he would stick out his tongue.

I love the middle picture...the expression on Hayden's face is priceless. Our Cincinnati Zoo just opened an exhibit like this one, but the giraffes are "too shy" to come get the food yet. They expect them to be acclimated by the fall.
My, what long tongues they have!
Thanks from Gabe for the sweet comment. He just told me he "can't like preschool", so we'll see how it goes. Come back tomorrow for an update.
Graham far too wussy to feed an animal that big...
Love the pictures!
Super Cute! Giraffes are my favorite. We dont have them at the zoo here, but I used to love seeing them at teh Detroit Zoo.
I love that series of photos.
That must be the Gene Simmons of the giraffe world...that tongue is actually sorta freaking me out right now!
Hayden is so big now in his wiggle video!

BTW, I gave you an award - check out my blog for details! :)
I love giraffes. Love them. The Husband thinks my love for them is a little strange. If I could have my own pet giraffe, I totally would. LOL
BTW, this is the blogger formerly known as RphMommy. For reasons to long to get into, the other blog had to go. I'm starting fresh. It's good to be back.
I had no idea that giraffes had such long tongues!!! and I am impressed with what a brave boy Hayden is!!
Giraffes are so cool! Their tongues are kind of scary though. Really long.
