Doing A Gimpy Happy Dance

I am so happy! Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers. It worked! I saw the doctor and he said that it is not broken. I am still a little sore but I can walk on it and I can get rid of those *bleeping* crutches. I do have to go through a little physical therapy but good, maybe I can finally get this ankle healed after spraining it 4 times.
There is only one down side, I am super cautious now and kind of obsessively watch were I walk. My back is starting to hurt from the bending to pick up toys. I am almost to the point of getting rid of all the toys but that might be taking it a little to far.

I am so glad to hear that you are not seriously injured. I would be worried about the toys too. I mean, this is the second time (that I remember) that you have fallen.

oh, now you've done it... I have to give advice. Just what every mom needs - unsolicited advice.

I would say, at least for a month or two, tell the kids that they can only play with toys in one certain place (like the living room, or their room, or the bathroom, or the basement, or the back yard, whatever. And all toys must be kept there. Let them slack off with the clean up, as long as the toys are kept in one place. Then you won't have to watch your step EVERYWHERE.

Just my thoughts.

Oh, YAY!!! So glad to hear there is no fracture!

Hope the PT goes well.

And no problem about tagging me twice... both were fun! Feel free to tag me anytime :)

Yeah!!! For your next trip...:) have you seen those rolling wheeling thingies people are using now instead of crutches? I'm so technical aren't I?!

I'm so glad it's not broken.

Go ahead, throw away the toys. They won't miss any of them. Really.

Hopefully your ankle will heel quickly before you trip over anymore toys! It must feel great to get rid of the crutches b/c My arm pits hurt for you!

I'm with you - bending down to get toys is bad for the health. I threaten to throw away toys on a regular basis. And to be honest, it's not a completely empty threat.

Whoa. Kelly recommended one of "those rolling wheeling thingies people are using now instead of crutches."

You didn't mean a zimmer frame did you Kelly?

ROFL at Jen using that!

Wow, I miss a couple of days and look what happens! Soooo glad you don't have a break. Crutches are the worst, aren't they?

Glad to hear it wasn't broken!!! Don't act too quickly with getting rid of all the toys - then they will only come to you looking for their entertainment - and that may be more work than you bargained for! :-)
