The Best Time of Day... Naptime.

So I have had this in my drafts section for a while and I thought that it was totally fitting. I am exhausted from the blogathon and birthday bloggy surprise (don't worry there will be a wrap up on the birthday surprise tomorrow) that I could totally use a nap. I don't even know if I have the strength to do a Writer's Workshop post, but we will see. Thanks again to every one who helped make my birthday so awesome and it was awesome. So now on with the true post...

Can you guess what it is?

I found this when I checked on Hayden the other day during nap time. I thought it was just so sweet. He had covered his kitty up for nap time.

I had to take a picture of the whole scene. It is not often that I see him this way during nap time. Usually he is thumping around, under the bed or in the closet, anything but sleeping. Isn't he just so precious while he sleeps? I am so jealous. I really wish there was a manditory nap time for mommy.
I did ask him later why did he used all the socks to cover up the kitty?
He replied, "To keep him warm. Socks are just so warm and cozy."
Well, you can't argue with that one.

Oh that is cute! We have the same problem with The Little Miss - only takes a nap every 3 days or so. And by nighttime she is exhausted.

Sometimes they can be so sweet, they take your breath away.

Then sometimes they take your breath away with a stinky fart, and it's hard to remember that sweetness.

Boys.

They are always sweet looking when they are sleeping. And I laugh in your general direction about "napping". My kids have mastered the art of doing anything but nap. When they do......sweet relief!

Have a great day!

That is the cutest thing that he wanted to make sure kitty is nice and cozy!

My 6yr old lets his stuffed dog sleep in the trash can (not used as a real trash can). Gotta love em!

Socks are so warm and cozy, that is a total crack up!

what I wouldn't give for a daily nap. Seriously. But even when I try I'm unsuccessful. Either the phone keeps ringing or one kid (or more) refuses to go to sleep and keeps bothering me. OR, on the rare occasion that everybody is asleep and the phone remains silent and I actually lay down....I lay there and think of everything that needs to get done and I feel totally guilty and after about 3 minutes I get back up.

That is not only cute, but also caring. I love it when men are all caring, so you should encourage this behaviour! (Although I guess that he would probably like to get RID of the girls for now)
