On Hayden's birthday is was so warm, like 80 degrees warm, that we decided to take all the kids on a boat ride on Papa's boat (my Dad). The kids had an amazing time except for Jake who clung to me for dear life. He did warm up as we were ready to go but his favorite part was getting back on stable ground.
It was the perfect day for a boat ride, a beautiful Indian summer day. The only thing we did not do was go swimming. It is sad to see summer go but the beauty of fall outside my window reminds me how much I love this season too.

It's so chilly today... Indian Summer sounds good...
Why..Why...why does everyone one keep posting about how warm it is and rubbing it in my face? Where I live it is freezing, first day with no frost in over a week. Fighting of a bad head cold because I refuse to wear a proper jacket. Then every post I read people talk about their day at the lake or about eating ice cream.

My kids love to boat. The Little Jamaican was asking her uncle to take her boating just yesterday. 58 degrees F is just not warm enough.

What a fantastic montage! It's still a little warm here in Sacramento, CA too. It's kind of perfect weather right now. I wouldn't mind if it satyed just like this all the time (summers around here are too hot for me).
