I Guess it Could Have Been Worse...

Today did not go as planned. It was not an awful day but everything, well here is a short list of the issues.

It all started with Quinn pulling my extra large full coffee cup off of the computer desk spilling it onto the carpet. The carpet that I just had cleaned about a month ago.

Then there was the fact that the kids did not take a nap. That coupled with the fact that the internet went down at 10AM, really up a damper on my blogging time.

Hayden got a toy for his birthday called, 'Moon Sand,' which he loves but I hate. It is suppose to stick together. I am here to say that there is a reason why sand is in the name.

I washed about 24 socks and ended up with only 23.

Mac-n-Cheese exploded every where during lunch and there were not enough chicken nuggets for Hayden to eat. It was a HUGE ordeal because there was absolutely nothing else for him to eat. Nothing!

I was so anxious about the doctors visit that they are convinced that I have high blood pressure.

I thought that letting the babies 'try out' markers would be a fun activity but I ended up washing the whole kitchen floor to remove the marker.

Hayden wanted to play with Jacob. All was good until Jacob was launched off the chair and got a 5 inch gash in his head.

I made a lovely chicken, rice and broccoli casserole that was suppose to cook in 30 minutes but took over an hour to cook. There was much whining about the cooking time so everyone ended up with PB&J.

So I am thinking that this comic pretty much sums up the day and what Jeff walked into. I just have one question, where is the darn bottle opener?
I.Must.Have.Wine.

I hope you get plenty of good sleep tonight and that tomorrow isn't quite as...difficult.

That cartoon completely sums up how I feel right now! We very very rarely turn the tv on in the evening- but tonight I am not sure I could wait to break out the booze until daddy got home if I didn't!

I am so sorry to hear about your day. But, I have to ask, what did you use to get up the coffee stain on the carpet? My daughter spilled coffee on the carpet TWICE (not mine, blame it on Texan Papa) and I can NOT get the stain up. If you are successful PLEASE tell me your magic trick.

I have this very cartoon on my fridge from when it ran in the newspaper here a few weeks back. I can totally sympathise.

And, may I suggest having a well-stocked wine cupboard and multiple openers at the ready throughout the house.

Hope tomorrow is a better day and hey, at least it won't be a Monday!

I love Baby Blues. I don't normally read the comics - but Baby Blues is one that I like to catch. They can usually sum up most of my days in two to three panels.

Just remember that "after all...tomorrow is another day..."

I had a day like that too!! Hang in there.

Can I just say that even when the whole day has gone swimmingly, it still looks like that when dad walks through the door. Darn that witching hour!!

Oh, Jen........I have had that day before. I have had many of those days actually. The best part about these days is when they get a little older and you look back these days take on a rather funny perspective. You might even find yourself missing peices of days like this. Until then, I say, you need a girls night out.

I keep a mental pro and con tick list in my head of why we should or should not have kids. I just put a tick mark in the should not column.

Some days I just repeat this over and over to myself...."I am a good mom. I am not loosing my mind. I am a good mom. I am not loosing my mind...."
