I really like how every weekend, Rhea over at Texas Word Tangle (one of my favorite bloggers), spotlights her awesome dog, Annie.
So today, I am going to take a page from her book and introduce you to another member of our family,
that we really don't see a whole lot.
This is Charlie, our family cat.
that we really don't see a whole lot.
This is Charlie, our family cat.

He has been around longer than the kids.

He used to be king of the castle with subjects that would cater to his every whim.

He is a good cat and really tolerates a lot.

When really all he wants to do is hide.

That is why every now and again, I leave a warm laundry basket out so he can crawl in and experience a little piece of kitty heaven.

Good boy, Charlie!
I know life is rough, hang in there.
They will leave the house someday and then you can rule again.

AWW!LOVE CHARLIE! Give him a hug from us :)
Charles has stolen my heart ... he can lay in my laundry anytime.
See? Cats ... just another reason we get each other :)
Isn't it sad that they get so neglected once there are little humans brought into the mix! Our poor cat had been a member of the family WAY longer than Caleb and bless her heart all she catches these days is grief!
Awww, hi, Charlie!!! I'm so glad to meet him! He's beautiful. And such a poser. hehe
I bet he is super tolerant to have three babies running around.
Thanks for the shout out too!! And it figures, I don't have a photo of Annie up today. lol
This is a great post! What a good kitty you have! My cat is in the same boat - I'd had her 16 years and along came a baby to steal her spotlight.
AWW!! I want a Charlie!! I had a cat like him when I was growing up. We can't have cats now because my hubby isn't a 'cat person'!
Give Charlie a big ol' hug for me please? :)
I had no idea that you had a cat! And what a tolerant cat Charlie must be. When my girls were little I was so surprised at how patient our cats were of the girls. We even had one who would sit and let them open his mouth so they could look at his teeth. He did have his ears pinned back so you could tell he didn't really like it...but he tolerated it!
Aw! What a sweet cat! I love cats that cover their eyes with their paws while they sleep. My cat loves warm laundry too.
I am in love with Charlie. I ADORE big cats.
Our cat, Sarafina, is a small cat (yet, she is quite fat). I wish she was a large cat like Charlie! :)
You have a cat? :)
Charlie is a sweetie, he looks so soft as well.
Isn't this the truth?! I just posted a letter to our family dog the other day. But you have to love a good family pet. Especially when they are so tolerant of the little ones.
Oh, what a sweetie. I love any cat who can deal with children like that!!!
What a beautiful cat!!
Awww...poor Charlie. At least life isn't boring for him!
Thanks for popping by my blog. I love the name of your blog and the tagline - I'll have to be sure to medicate my kids too if it's all the rage ;)
We used to have a grey cat that looks just like Charlie... I say used to have because she now lives with my sister. I'd had Tess before Shane and I got married... when H came along, she was tolerant of the baby. Tess kept to herself mostly anyway. Then when I got pregnant with M, Shane did not want to have cat litter duty again, so we let my sister take the cat... she still has her, plus 3 more!
M wants a kitten for her bday (which is next month)... she's convinced she'll be getting one...
What a handsome guy you have there. I feel bad for my first kiddos too. My boxer and cat are so patient with the babies. I try hard to remember to do the little things for them but it gets hard with all the babies.
Oh, he looks sweet... I would so much rather have a cat then our obnoxious barking dog... but myself and most of my family are allergic to cats... oh well...
Oh what a cool cat. The little miss is begging and begging for a kitty - we will se how long dad can resist.
Sweet Charlie!
