But I think that it may be what I have when it comes to blogging, an obsession. Blogging is often on my mind from what kind of post to right next or wondering who has posted anything new. I can't wait to check me email in the morning and I have to check it right before I go to bed.
I am often asked, how I find the time to blog. Well since its an obsession, I have to find the time not to blog. I have never tried it but I think that I could blog all day if even the chance.
I just love hoping around from blog to blog, getting little snippets into other people's lives. Some posts are funny and some posts are sad but most posts I can relate too. It helps me feel not so alone. There is some one some where in the world going through something similar to me and empathy is a very powerful thing.
So for how it do it? I don't really know how I do it. I get up a little early to check me email, I stay up a little too late writing, I hardly ever watch TV, I read a blog here and here when I can, I go on post writing marathons when I am inspired. I just do it. When is something that you love, there is always time.
I do know that I am constantly talking to myself and a lot of these 'conversations' end up as blog posts. Just when I think that I have nothing to post about, something will happen, the kids will do something funny or crazy. Life is full or fun and interesting things all around me, how can I not write a little bit of it down?
Do I have an obsession? Ask any of my family or friends and they would probably tell you, yes. Its an obsession that most of them don't understand. Is it a healthy obsession? I think so. Blogging is something I enjoy, something that I do for me. When it starts to feel like work, I will stop.
It is also something that I am kinda good at and feeds my self esteem. I don't really have any other hobbies so how else should I spend my time? Cleaning the house? No Thank You!

Hey, I totally understand the "obsession" question. But I love my computer, my friends live in here. I too, love going post to post and seeing how my "friends" are doing and "meeting" new people. L O V E it.
Besides, I can clean the house after the kids move out.
LOL I get the bloggy obsession! If the TV and Internet were mortal enemies, Blogs would be the Internet's way of sticking it to TV haha ;)

I have twins, so I totally know what you mean by not having time to do anything (except take care of children ALL the time). My twins are 7 now and it's MUCH easier than when they were infanta or toddlers. I can't imagine how you do it with triplets. You do what you have to do, right? That is what I tell people when they say "I don't know how you did it with two". Two is easier than 3 or four!

I learned pretty quickly that the only people who get blogging are other bloggers. My friends think I'm crazy and don't understand why I would want to blog or care about what others are blogging about.
Like I said....they just don't get it.
I "get" you-maybe because all Jen's think alike? Blogging is healthy I tell myself. Much healthier than drinking or smoking or having an affair!
I didn't think about how blogging could be my obsession. I am learning more and more about how many obsessions I have!
The good thing is that you're surrounded (virtually, anyway) by fellow obsessors (is that a word?)... by others obsessed (that's better!). I'm thinking an intervention might be in order for me... blogging's getting done, but the laundry isn't (or anything else for that matter). It's easier for me, though, as I only have one kid and she's 9. But I might put her in a bucket when she gets home from school so I can focus more on my blog ;)
Isn't it funny how it does become an obsession! I love blogging and visiting other blogs! I am right there with you!

You so captured it. I too am obsessed with blogging. I pretty much dropped TV altogether and I keep saying "Tonight I will read" but the blogging calls to me. It is true that when you love something you make the time. Keep on blogging -- you are good at it and it is a healthy obsession. And who needs a clean house anyway! And I think all moms need some kind of outlet like this or we'll go looney tunes!
personal opinion here, but i think everything is just about bloggable...especially when we have so many crazy kids. just saying. i like to think of it as not so much an addiction as an outlet. :) i'm sticking with it!

I must admit that I was extremely skeptical of blogging at first but I would have to agree that it is a part of my day that I absolutely love now!
I prefer to use the word "hobby." Obsession reminds me of Calvin Klein perfume.
Yeah--I'm pretty obsessed w/ blogging too! I love being able to document so many things that I would otherwise forget and also to read what other bloggers have to say--it's been great!

You sound like me! I'm on this thing WAY TOO MUCH! My husband is annoyed and he thinks it's stupid. In fact, we had this conversation last night where he called it stupid. Right there, I told him I'm gonna blog about that..lol! Everything he does I tell him I'm gonna blog about it just to mess with him..lol!

OMG I will never feel bad or like I can't do this again. Just knowing that there is someone out there who has conversations with herself like I do is mind altering. Okay, maybe a little freaky, but wow. There is another me. :)

I am so with you! Right before the holidays I was on top of it. I was posting everyday and reading all my blogs and commenting everyday. But the holidays came and the family got annoyed with seeing the back of my laptop. Then the holidays were over and my work was totally behind. Now I am behind and I hate it. I feel so out of the loop. It was sad to open my email and have nothing. Only maybe two people asked where I was, and when I was coming back. Which of course made me then start to wonder what I was so obsessed with about blogging if no one else cared. It's just sucks you in! And even though it is taking me forever to get back into it, I will not. give. up.
